Does anyone out there see anything in this way forward?
It is so ********g boring.
We have lost the ability to counter attack quickly.
Tippy tappy back to our GK.
More conducive to a 0-0 bore draw.
I am really trying my best to look forward to this coming season, but.....
What are your thoughts?

Don't you mean more conducive to creating careers in football (DoF) for those who never played the game at any significant level?

I think it's sooooooo boring when you play possession based football. It gives teams you should be taking apart a chance to just sit back and set up to just defend higher up the pitch and let you play it across the back 4 (or 3) from one side of the pitch to the other without going forward that much.
There's nothing better than seeing a team with 2 rapid wingers flying down the flanks and getting a cross in to a couple of forwards that know how to find the bad of the net.
The year Liecester won the league was a prime example, they had 4 or 5 players that were so quick that when they all attacked together no one could handle it. It was breath of fresh air.

I was thinking about this question just after the Euros,it seems the art of dribbling is no longer part of the modern game,I can only think of Messi in today's game.

Dribbling was a dying art when Paul Gascoigne was at his peak, Irish, so it's no surprise that you don't see it much in today's game.
Joe Cole was another proper dribbler when he was at West Ham, but Mourinho soon drilled that out of him when he went to Chelsea.
Modern football is getting more and more tedious with every season that passes.
