I used to listen to Manchester city radio (BBC Manchester) because I enjoyed listening to the city fans whinge about everything. Now county come out of a 6 goal thriller against a decent team at this level and fans still call for Lord to go? It says something when even Laid back Pete gets annoyed with the texts. A lot of anonymous texts saying for people to lay of McKnight. Is our loverble CEO getting his family to text in telling us off . But anyway. At the end of the game it felt like a win the stadium was rocking at the final whistle. PLEASE LADS LETS BUILD ON THIS.

It was a great comeback for sure and the atmosphere was unbelievable, still too many silly mistakes at the back!

I know exactly where you're coming from, but we can't build anything on sand, Tom. We need a solid foundation or this club will sink, battling draws will not save this club from the fate it's heading for under the current bunch of no marks. Text-ins and phone-ins attract all kinds of moron, I never listen to them. Suggesting Lordy should go and lay off McKnight? I think that says everything about the person(s) responsible. Alan is the glue that is keeping this club together, forget the money being put in, Alan stepped up when Bogie bottled it. The guy is a legend in my book. I've done McKnight to death*, so I'll leave it there. *Not a death threat.

I think that says everything about the person(s) responsible. i listened yesterday as well. i expected to hear some morons, but it was pretty surprising how they'd all come out to play. i think to some degree we've all got that knee-jerk "we failed to beat who" in us, but then for most the rational mind takes over and remembers that we are, like it or not, at this level. and guiseley, small club or not, have proven themselves a very decent proposition at this level for several seasons.

The problem is this... until all financial issues are resolved and we are able to return to full time status which means full time training and players who wish to go full time then expect days like that. The result in the end was better than the 2-0 defeat any day. However again this bunch of people who moaned about things are like many others stuck in a mindset of failure - I wonder why.

Unfortunately, solving the money is proving difficult - to say the least. There's no real reason why Fearn, et al would just give up their own money without something in return (would you?). We have hit a stalemate. It's sad to say, but it's money that matters. In the absence of a rich benefactor with half a million who would pay them all to go away, we are stuck. (And do we really want to be reliant on one person to financially prop County up?) One thing is clear - we have a CEO who has no influence over the shareholders, so there is no way they will write off their debts. And if the shareholders have a say over who becomes the new Chairman, then that person won't have any influence either. I guess we are now waiting for the next board statement telling us how many of the 14 turned up to help 'tidy up the balance sheet' - and what the outcome was. No reason to he hopeful.

Someone has suggested on YB1 that Richard Park is the one who wants McKnight to remain. If this is true, wasn't Spencer Fearn involved in getting RP on board in the first place? If so, that explains a hell of a lot.
Open to correction on this though.

I take it that McKnight will be part of the panel who will interview any applicant(s) for the vacant Chairman position. God help us!

My question to McKnight will always be how much revenue have you secured in sponsorship for the club?
I think we already know the answer. .....

I take it that McKnight will be part of the panel who will interview any applicant(s) for the vacant Chairman position. that fills me with confidence. our next chairman will be the applicant who answered all the questions via a sock puppet on his right hand.

obviously as i was typing it, i was seeing it in my head - the applicant holding the sock puppet up to his ear and taking its counsel, while FC ryan nods sagely in the background.
