Evening, all. And welcome to Edgeley Park, where, Trophy-wise, we get to do it all again with Barrow after honours ended deservedly even at Holker Street three days ago. All told, this is the fourth meeting between the two clubs in 2013 - but the first during the current year to take place in SK3. So, to those hardy Bluebirds supporters who have tonight wended their way from the ‘English Chicago’, all along the A590 cul-de-sac, and then down the M6, we do know how you feel!
A couple of faces familiar to County fans may be spotted from among the visitors this evening, as Daniel O’Donnell - once sponsored here by County Heaven - and Sam Sheridan now ply their trade for Barrow. And, of course, we now have back within our own ranks a very well remembered former Hatter-hero in the form of Liam Dickinson. ‘Dicko’ could tonight take his EP bow a second time around, following two cameo away-appearances, and is sure to receive a warm welcome home from the County faithful.
Competing, as we do tonight, for match-watching attention on the same evening as a certain international friendly is not without its challenges. But football, as they say, is a funny old game - and who’s to say that this replay won’t, one way or another, end up living longer in the memory than a half-hearted, cagey Wembley kickabout? (Mighty glad that the Welsh don’t have a game on, look you...!)
You got the Trophy Fever, Sandy?

I don’t know about Trophy Fever, Maccy, but fear I might be coming down with a nasty case of Cup-theria (we genuinely make these up ourselves).
After the excellent result against Telford and the ensuing buzz, County Heaven was a little quieter following the Oxford match. It appears, however, that this wasn’t solely down to the poor result and is also partially due to problems some members are having in accessing the forum. Rest assured, this is something we are aware of and looking to resolve shortly.
Despite those glitches, Heaven has been relatively busy in recent weeks. Sir Roger re-appeared after a brief hiatus and announced his return by scoring maximum points in my quiz (albeit in the penultimate week, so too late to make a challenge for the title), taking up a strong position in the prediction league, and winning the limerick competition at the first attempt. Welcome back, Rog, but could you let the rest of us stand a chance occasionally?!
Speaking of games, Downy has launched a new caption competition which is attracting some amusing entries, and the ‘bar jokes’ thread started by Sirius over eighteen months ago is still going strong and guaranteed to bring a smile to the face. Finally, you can always amuse yourself with my new facial hair (there’s a phrase I never thought I’d say). Yes - I’m taking part in ‘Movember’, and you can keep tabs on my hairy progress in our ‘off topic’ section. I’m only sorry that I can’t make the games tonight and on Saturday so you could all have a good laugh at my expense, as I’ll have shaved it off by the time Brackley visit SK3! Oh well, hair today, gone tomorrow…
Right, moustache (must dash – geddit?!).
