Whether it will manage to go ahead 24-and-a-bit hours on is anyone's guess - but here is a fresh thread for tomorrow's hurriedly-rearranged match.
You know what to do...

Macc, I trust you will be reporting tonight on twitter? I will be following avidly. On a different note, will the crowd tonight be much down on what it would have been yesterday?

I will indeed, Steve! As for the attendance, it will, I fear, inevitably be down, given that we have lost a good few exiles who would have made the trip, whilst off work, or might have been visiting family around here for Easter, yesterday. Could have been a 4,000-plus crowd, but is now likely to be a thousand down on that.

Made a last minute call to go to the match tonight - rushed back from work and had a quick turnaround so hopefully it's worth it - come on boys!!!

Took conceding a goal to wake us up, but we hit back well with two quick goals. The first was a good move, the second a great finish from Matty. Need to make sure this half!

Up to 5th and York play Harrogate on Saturday.
Spennymoor at Telford tomorrow and Alfreton on Saturday.
Blyth have Kidderminster visiting as well.
Hope we don't need to score 3 to make sure of beating North Ferriby !!!!
Dior Angus scorer (son of Terry Angus, my Coventry Boys centre forward from Under 11 to Under 16 in the late 1970's).

Wasn't a vintage performance by any means, and despite the twitchy bum time at the end we were good value for the win overall. I know it's a feature of football in division 6 that players make mistakes, but it's no good for my nerves that we always threaten to throw it away by conceding soft goals when we are in control!

Aside from the 3 points, the main positive tonight was... that we played tonight. If we do make the playoffs, not having to play Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday in the final week of the normal season could be important given we won't finish in a position to get a bye.
Oswell scored from two good deliveries. Turner drove down the left side and put it across excellently. Oswell's second came from a Thomas corner (deliveries were very good tonight) and it looked a bit Sergio Ramos, running straight into the net with venom. It was good to see some balls going between the sticks and movements taking defenders into the goal with us rather than all near or far post deliveries. I know such things will be worked on depending on the opposition (ie spotting how they defend corners, weaknesses etc.) but still, seeing their defenders on the floor in their net is a great sight and shows how much pressure they're being put under. Warburton's goal was another from close range, showing that the goals came from good positions where it's generally more likely that the chances will be taken.
On the flip side, we gifted them two goals (although the first was still nicely taken). Relief when the final whistle went - had a feeling after the subs that it could well end a draw but thankfully we held out. Like many, we remained behind to applaud the effort and the run but we can only hope for a run of games now where we're not putting goals on a plate for the opposition - especially the better opposition we now face in this run-in.
