As ceefer mentioned in the post-match interviews thread, the issue of FT was referred to in the programme yesterday by RP. For anyone without a copy, he said:
"We are also working closely with the manager to make the transition to a full-time operation but such a move requires significant planning as we need to ensure that we have the right facilities and that we do not lose key playing staff who are not in a position to make the transition to full-time."
In his note, JG highlighted that progress with our U19s was down to the almost FT nature/professionalisation of things and this needs to be considered in regards to improving the first team.
"It will soon dawn on us, like it did Fylde and Harrogate, that there comes a tipping point when our financial investment in players does not equal success but investment in full-time football does."

Cheers for posting, H - very positive comments from both Richard Park and Jim. However, 'the proof of the pudding' and all that.... It does seem promising, though.

Cheers for posting, H!
Extra training sounds positive, plus the transition into FT. I wonder which players are keen to sign part-time extensions? I hope Oswell is one of them.

It would make sense as he works at the Countess of Chester hospital. I guess the question is does he really want full time footballor not...

His answer on that question:
If he can work on a few things, such as his hold up play, I think he stands a good chance at a move into League football.

Listened to some of a podcast by Scout7 and one of the guests was from Kiddy (FT) and he talked about how they have to live within their means - an average age of 21 for the 1st team but lots of effort has gone in to ensuring they've teams from 8+.
