Welcome back to EP for the second afternoon in just a few days, as we entertain Telford - another team nestling in a League position very close to County’s.
Just as we will have done on Boxing Day when greeting some ex-County favourites now plying their trade with Hyde, let us today take the opportunity to say hello again to a Telford player formerly of this footballing parish. Put your hands together for Jordan Rose who, by all accounts, is enjoying a tremendous season in central defence for the Bucks. Jordan was a popular member of the Club with County Heaveners during his time at SK3 - and, win, lose or draw, he was invariably the first from our team to applaud in appreciation of the fans when a game ended. We wish him continued success - other than this afternoon, obviously!
Before letting Sandy put you out of your misery over his quiz from the previous issue, and with today’s match being the last one of 2012, may I wish everyone associated with County, as well as our visitors, a very Happy New Year. For the Club, let us also hope for a successful 2013....
Enjoy the game. And over to you, Sandy!

For those of you who bought a programme on Boxing Day, you may have noticed my brainteaser in the County Heaven article. Well, bang your heads against the wall no more – here are the answers!
1.Which Paraguayan footballer is currently on loan from Manchester City to Malaga? Roque SANTA Cruz
2.Which insurance company sponsored the football leagues between 1993 and 1996? EndSLEIGH
3.Who scored the winner in the recent Manchester derby? ROBIN Van Persie
4.Which midfielder made 260 appearances for Leicester between 1996 and 2004? Muzzy Izzet
5.Which £35m striker is currently on loan at West Ham, having disappointed so far at Liverpool? Andy CARROLL
6.Which Columbian striker spent 6 years at Aston Villa from 2001 to 2007? Juan Pablo ANGEL
I asked you what all of the answers (except one) have in common and it is, of course, that they all have something to do with Christmas. The odd-one-out is therefore Muzzy Izzet who, whilst having nothing in his name associated with Christmas, did play for Turkey!
For safety reasons I’ll be as far away from EP as possible when this article gets published, visiting the in-laws in Norwich, and therefore please address your frustration to my esteemed co-writer who sits in the Pop Side in seat... (sorry, Sandy, ran out of words for your bit - Maccy).
