Mother nature or our cuddly black country CEO. Why has he gone on holiday during the season and when we have some very important potential investers coming to see us. Also why did he choose to make cuts on the ground staff when they could have been made elsewhere. ie. stewards.
This company that has been hired to do the grounds keeping has no experience in grounds keeping for sports at all from what I have heard. I would like to know if the company has a director with the name R McKnight on the board.... Be interesting to find out.
I don't think it is a total disaster the Chinese not seeing the game as if they are here to talk business the football would have been some nice entertainment. Unfortunately we will loose quite abit of money as the replay will be on a Tuesday night so many people will stay away. Also there was a kids ticket scheme on today and they wont be able to do that on a Tuesday but there are other games so it isn't a major deal.
Bit fed up but oh well onto Tuesday night now and hopefully 3 points.

McKnight - he's an utter failure, and the sooner he's gone the sooner we can stop the rot. He's one rat we DO need to be deserting this sinking ship.

him, but also the 'silent shareholders' too. we'd finally got the pitch looking good after years of jeremys and cherry pickers on the pitch, and another county fan gets the bullet. absolute bulls**t.

I agree about the Chinese mate, hopefully they will still be willing to talk business with the current people in charge and won't be put off by not seeing the game, it'd have been nice for them to take in a game first but it's not that important in the grand scheme!
For most of the day from around 11am onwards in Stockport the sun was out, it wasn't warm but the sun was out so any competent team of ground staff would have been able to make the pitch playable!

FC Ryan.
When the groundsman 'left' many fans predicted that the pitch would go down hill so to speak. This was clear to see in the games over Christmas. With the winter weather I the next month or two I wouldn't be surprised to see more postponements.
We had a beautiful fit for purpose pitch we were all proud of when Liam looked after it. Now it's frankly an embarrassment.
Is the plan to have mud wrestling?
The whole business seems to have been ill thought out and wil likely cost the club financially more in theory if there are any more postponements and god oh knows if the pitch will need to be relaid at the end of the season.
We may also have a greater backlog of games, putting extra pressure on our part time players.
FC Ryan you need to sort this out and find the cash to get Liam Cash back pronto. Really it's unbelievable that the club went down this route.

As some of the guys on YB mk1 have said, I doubt there was much of a protest to the referee when it was called off. Little bit of politics going on there if you ask me.
I'm convinced that some people involved with this club do not want what is best for us.

Without wanting to sound like a conspiracy theorist, I wouldn't be surprised if the plan is to let the pitch go, be forced to play our home games elsewhere........ ooooooooooooh sayyyyy Woodley for example, and test the water for how many fans actually make the trek to Lambeth Grove to see if they could get away with a permanent move there. I know, it's a ridiculous theory, right?.....

depends what they want. i reckon the gates would drop to a thousand, possibly sub-one thousand partly in protest, partly at the change. it's not like playing a one-off game at moss rose a couple of years ago...and even that wasn't that well attended. unless they do specifically want to shrink us down into nothing, they had better not be thinking along those lines.

Would you be that surprised if they were trying to do just that, ars?

i can't see the point of them ever having been involved if that's what they want to do. unless because we're losing money they just want to look at it as a cost cutting measure. we apparently have two shareholders who have gone beyond the call of duty for the club. let's hope their presence mean it's unlikely to happen.

OK, the game was off, but did the meeting with the Chinese investors still go ahead or will they just wait until they meet for the meal on Monday?
I know Teflon likes to make cutbacks, but we really should be in the chair when it comes to paying the bill on Monday.
