Right then, semi-finalists.
I have just spotted that there is a full programme of Premier League fixtures this weekend, but then nothing next weekend.
You therefore have a choice:
1. We could have all the semi-finals this weekend, with the result of Hyde Are Bad v Sugar Sugar also standing for their match against their semi-final opponents (in other words, whoever scores the highest goes through, but that same score counts again for their semi-final match). The final would then be over the weekend of 21st/22nd November; or
2. We use this weekend's fixtures to decide that result, and then save the semi-final matches until the weekend of 21st/22nd and the final the weekend after.
I am inclined to go with Option 1, but if the 5 semi-finalists (or 4 as Archie is away) could let me have their preference asap, we'll go with the majority vote.
The live semi-final draw will follow. A reminder of the numbers to watch out for:
1. The Maccnificent Five 2. Hyde Are Bad / Sugar Sugar 3. Not Ep-Worth The Money 4. County Benno Blues

Team 1, The Maccnificent Five.
Which leaves Team 2, Hyde Are Bad or Sugar Sugar, to play Team 4, County Benno Blues.

Option 1 is fine by me, Sandmeister!

Executive decision made.
The most important thing is to resolve that last remaining QF between Hyde Are Bad and Sugar Sugar.
With that in mind, if we get a result from that fixture this weekend, the winner will carry that score into their semi-final match against County Benno Blues, and the semi-finals will also take place this weekend.
If, however, we end up with another tie between Hyde Are Bad and Sugar Sugar, that match will go to a penalty shootout (details, Heaven forbid, to follow!) and the semi-finals will instead take place over the weekend of 21st/22nd November.
Thanks everyone.

No problem with the double header this weekend.
Sounds trhe sensible option as the final will have to wait because of the weekend break anyway.
Let's get it sorted or we could finish up with a epic along the lines of War and Peace.
Penalty shoot out !!! That could be interesting.

Evening gentlemen.
We have a result in the last remaining Quarter-Final:
Hyde Are Bad 24-27 Sugar Sugar
So it's Archie's Sugar Sugar who go through to the semi-finals.
And the semi-final results are as follows:
SF1: Not Ep-Worth The Money 28–27 The Maccnificent Five
The narrowest of victories for Eppy's side, which ultimately came down to a better choice of captain (Sagna scoring 12, compared to Sanchez with 4)
Sugar Sugar 27–10 County Benno Blues
Archie carries his quarter-final score through to the semi-final against Benno, but the latter was undone by neither of his defenders playing, so Archie goes through to the final.
It's an old gag, but the draw for the final will take place shortly. Watch out for these numbers:
1. Not Ep-worth The Money 2. Sugar Sugar

... number 2, Sugar Sugar!
No greedy league fixtures next weekend, so the final will take place the following weekend.
Thanks, and commiserations, to the teams leaving us: Hyde Are Bad, The Maccnificent Five, and County Benno Blues.

Woo hoo! I can't believe I'm into the final! Well played, macc, very close in the end.
I'd like to say good luck archie and may the best man win in the final. But I can't, because I really want to win! I've never won a Sandy quiz before, and everyone loves the underdog, right?!
Excellent stuff, sandman.

Well played, Eppers. Dann's late goal had me wincing this afternoon! Cheers for a great contest, Sandy. And best of luck to both teams in the Final.

Well done guys, and well played Archie. Both games very close again.
Peyet (as captain) being kicked off the park by Everton led to my un-doing. I think Cech should have guessed Kane's goal yesterday as well. Such is life. Good luck in the Final - both.
