Right, let's get this show (literally) on the road.
This week's player was/is Chris Beaumont.
With the Cheadle Enders being frozen out until Wednesday, it allowed the other two teams to make up some ground (lagging, as they were, 20 miles behind) - and make up ground they did, both scoring an admirable 40 points by guessing Beaumont on Tuesday. The Cheadle Enders then entered the fray the next day but were unable to get the correct answer until Thursday, giving them 20 points.
This means, excitingly, that every team reached Luton on the M1 (170 miles) at the same time!
HOWEVER - one team then managed to secure a Begara card this week, and it was....
THE MAIN STANDERS! The only team not to have found a Bergara card until now, managed to discover the 'Super Fuel' card at a pivotal point in the quiz, boosting them a further 20 miles to Brent Cross (190 miles) and within a whisker of Wemberlee!
In real terms, next week will decide the quiz and any one of our three teams could take the title.
The Main Standers only need 10 miles, whereas the other two teams will need to get the answer by close of play on Wednesday to amass sufficient mileage to get to the finish line.
It goes without saying, that the earlier you get your answer in each day next week, the best chance you have of reaching Wembley first, because we could have a situation where two (or perhaps even all three) teams get there on the same day, so every minute will count.
Of course, if any team uncovers one of the two 'penalty' Bergara cards (detour or puncture), and uses it wisely, they could prevent one of their opponents from reaching the finish line and overtake them right at the death!
Will there be a final twist? Tune in Monday for the first clue to find out!

Intrigue upon intrigue.
Nice one Sandy and good that we are all still in the hunt at the end.
Think we have lost NLR from our campervan last week. Did anyone see him hitchhiking down the hard-shoulder ?
Good luck teams.

Brilliant quiz format, Sandy! Many thanks. Much more civilised than Wacky Races................. (avoid that oil spill, Main Standers!)
So, every minute counts; no dead heat in the Wembley Car Park.
