In an even longer than before, or even expected podcast, Noel & Phil are joined by an actual real life non-league football scout! It was all good stuff (in our view) so we didn't cut any out!! We might regret this! 0 to approx 40mins. There's a review on the last 6 results of the season, new manager speculation then some end of season awards chat. 40:00 mins - The Jonny Appeal! Approx 41 to 1hr 20 mins. We then ask the scout a whole host of questions to get an insight into the scouting profession. 1hr 20mins to 1hr 40mins. We finish off with our own end of season 'made up' podcast awards (best pie, best quote etc). All feedback welcome! COUNTY PODCAST EPISODE 5

Good effort lads, I'll find time to give it a listen tomorrow. Who's the scout in question?

Good effort lads, I'll find time to give it a listen tomorrow. Who's the scout in question? Didn't get his last name. Just went by the name of John - he told us his club but asked not to advertise it. Very informative indeed.

have listened to and enjoyed the first 40 mins, but they do need a hatter in macc or somebody that gets to all the away games!
the hosts are excellent though - dead funny.

You're spot on - we need a definite away match reporter otherwise it just gets lost. I'm definitely up for the scouting challenge though. We'll try and keep them shorter too - but we got carried away and it all seemed good stuff.

no problem with the length (said the #blah# to the #blah#). i just meant i've listened to the first 40 mins so far. i haven't felt any of them were too long. it's brilliant to hear an irreverent view because apart from the messageboards, most stuff (including the co-op stuff) carries an 'official' feel. i subscribe to 'redmen tv' as an armchair liverpool fan. found i preferred it to lfctv by a mile even though there's no match footage, because it's fans getting over-excited and then blowing off steam when it's shite. i think there's a real place for that in modern football, and 'county counts' has made a cracking start for me, because it's full of the kinds of conversations i like to have and the daft and irrelevant observations i like to make.

Will do, it'll be mid-June when we get back together so I'll DM you on here nearer the time.

Exactly that, we're keeping away from the official strand. Pure, Co-op and obviously the club are all pro-County media wise. Although we're pro-County we will remain impartial and if there's something wrong we'll speak up, and we'll expect our guests to too. I like JK but his line of questioning to managers and players is a bit lightweight, for obvious reasons.
We'll keep progressing and improving it - so any ideas you have please let us know. And we're always up for people coming on and having their input.
Cheers for the kind words too!

This has been really top drawer and has improved with every podcast. I think this could be an important medium for supporters. I'd like to see you add ex-players like Toddy, Killer, Paul Jones etc to your guest list, that would be an excellent feature.
Keep up the good work, bin, these really have been brilliant.
