As I told Maccy last night at the game, I guessed it was a 'keeper from the kit. I then trawled Wikipedia looking for a County keeper and found the same image Sandy used.

He was famed for playing it short to one of his back 4, rather than lumping up field as I recall? That's how he got the nickname Old El Pass-o.
