that's superb gazz. it keeps going on and on too, and from not that big a group of supporters in those two blocks.
beardsley, less so. "The panel concluded that a stiff punishment was necessary." a number of incidents of unacceptable, unequivocally racist statements and it's 32 weeks in the sin bin? i wonder what punishments the panel would think necessary if someone burgled their houses? presumably a suspended sentence, if not grovelling exoneration.

they seem to think the san siro's rubbish, and perhaps it is to experience a game. i just like iconic clubs having iconic grounds, and the san siro has always looked a belter to me.

I think Italia 90 was a simple facelift, whilst adding a third tier, and the structure is quite dated overall.

liverpool v salzburg has been quite interesting. the liverpool of two seasons ago has shown up, going from 3-0 up to 3-3. klopp's answer? stick a fourth forward on...now 4-3.

Solihull Moors: 'Honesty boxes' to replace tickets for Sutton United game www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49928420If we got these in at EP right now our players would end up owing the fans money!

FIFA are a filthy, corrupt organisation whose 'loyalties' are available to the highest bidder - with the less said about Qatar, the better. Rotten to the f***ing core.

Dying to watch the next World Cup? Not like the migrant workers throwing the stadia up, that is for sure dying, and then when the world championships come to town, the upper tier of the stadium is closed and no f***er turns up in the rest until the distance races were on.
this is the women's 100m final. one of the blue riband events. virtually more athletes on the track than punters in the stands:
the president of the IAAF (and tory scumbag) lord coe grumbled about gaby yorath when it was clear to anyone watching on the telly that, at least in athletics terms, the khalifa stadium was matched only by the darlington arena as a white elephant. and they didn't even have tino asprilla turning up for ten minutes in a fur coat.
"trying to grow the sport" says coe. "trying to accept the very rich but global minor player's bribes" say i.

once again the reputation of the game is sold for money what pisses me off even more is that "it's about the development of the sport", just like the world champs were. funny how two of the most significant governing bodies in world sport hit on the same place at the same time for this development. in world cups, we'll have had south africa and quatar, but hang on chaps, you appear to have missed out the economically deprived bit in the middle. the host selection process can best be summed up by mrs merton's question to debbie mcgee, "what first attracted you to the millionaire paul daniels"?
extinction rebellion should have been protesting the validity of having to air con the f*** out of the stadium in a country patently unsuitable for superhuman exertion in the name of sport. i suppose if they had, they'd have ended up batoned and in a quatari jail for as long as it took for their hemp trousers to biodegrade.
so f*** the workforce (the stadium builders) f*** the workforce part two (athletes alternating between sweltering and freezing, and having their biggest life achievements played out to a backdrop of indifference)
f*** the environment f*** freedom of sexuality
a big thumbs up to FIFA and the IAAF as usual.
