Just now and again, and despite attempts from various parties to devalue its appeal, the world's oldest tournament has still got it. Maidstone provided a fantastic tale of Cup glory in the earlier rounds - and today's tie was utterly brilliant. Nice one, Cov.

Except later, the NL had a further think, gave Alty the bye, and switched Halifax's hosts from Alty to Solihull.
Fair enough, on the basis of Alty's higher finishing position - but what a shambolic way to go about it...

What next, going against their own rules and allowing a team in admin to stay up while relegating the team that finished 4th from bottom?

Have to feel for Gateshead, after a season of hard graft that saw them make the play-offs on merit - and, given the strength of the National League, by punching above their weight.
The 10-year lease requirement is interesting, too. Wonder what will happen going forward with any existing EFL clubs that find themselves out on the streets, and having for a while to live a nomadic existence, in the way the likes of Brighton and Coventry did?
