County's oldest known surviving former player, George Haigh , was able to take in a Hatters game last weekend, when County took on and beat Brackley Town.
George is due to celebrate his 100th birthday on 29 June.
Consequently the Supporters co-operative in association with the SCAN scheme guardians, are aiming to get 100 birthday cards from County fans of different ages to be presented to George on his birthday.
We'd like County fans to buy a card, add their own (or their child's) birthday greeting to George, including their age, and pass the cards to us preferably well before the birthday date.
Cards can be handed in at the Bungalow pre-match, at the co-op stall in the ground, or dropped off/ posted to the following address.... George 100, 7 Abergele Street, Stockport, SK2 6HE.
We will give regular updates in the Bungalow, and through on-line media.
Thank you for your support in this matter.

What a fantastic gesture!
There will be a Family Macc greeting winging its way to you, for onward transmission to George...
