Freak goal, but it's three valuable points!
Good to have JK commentating on the highlights too, nice work, Dan.

had forgotten about the miniature ref as well! He may have been on the vertically-challenged side, but was just about the best referee that I have seen this season - generally letting the game flow, and officiating with a smile on his face . His only error was to book Whittall, after the Brackley player had actually been fouled by Glover! Other than that, though, a good performance by Mr D'Aguilar. Only wish that there were more of his kind, refereeing at this level.

One for the keeper to forget. Good refereeing as well, many would have found and excuse to giving a free kick for minimal contact.

Is it just me, or would 9 out of 10 refs pulled that goal up for a foul on the keeper. Surprised he didn't as in such a situation in the refs view your not allowed within 3 yards of the goalie !

He has an unusual perspective on the goal luckily...

very good ceefer! to be honest, i'd have been furious if it'd been against us. the way the keeper jumps forward under the ball with his back arched means one of two things - he's misjudged it or been pushed by the jumping attacker. wouldn't have been a surprise if the ref had erred on the side of the former -particularly as it came against the home side- as they usually do.

I definitely believe their keeper was fouled by Glover and we got away with it massively. Still the amount of time it's gone against us this season it's about time we got a rub of the green.

I thought he just misjudged it.

I agree, Downie. On another matter, how come we had the commentary on the video? We didn't the week before when I was on air!

It was on the strength of the previous weekend's commentary-quality that we in the Media Team said amongst ourselves: "You know what would be a great idea for our coverage at Brackley, next Saturday, lads?"
