Right, time to attempt my first copy-and-paste effort on this wonderful, new-fangled forum.
Here's our contribution to this afternoon's programme. And, if you don't like it much, fear not... there'll be another three along over the next fortnight !

Good afternoon, and welcome to those visiting fans from Brackley Town. I originally planned to say that I hoped they had an uneventful journey across the M62, but it turns out my Achilles heel (geography) has again got the better of me since Brackley is not, as I initially thought, anywhere near Yorkshire. Apologies to the away fans for making you far more Northern than you actually are!
Home league games, it seems, are like the 192 bus… we’ve waited ages for one, and now four come along at once! In fact, three will take place (weather and pitch permitting) over the course of Christmas week, so Maccy and I are currently busy coming up with festive material!
Before that, I have an important County Heaven announcement… we’ve moved! Due to increasing technical (and aesthetic) issues with the Yuku forum, we can now be found at www.countyheaven.freeforums.net. Thanks to Big Fudge and Gazza, the new site is already a vast improvement on the old one but still contains all the usual rooms, games and banter that our members have grown to love (or tolerate, in the case of the films thread), as well as some new additions. Check it out, and sign up if you haven’t already – no excuses!
Lastly, I’d like to thank everyone who kindly supported my recent ‘Movember’ ordeal, which saw me raise £145 towards a very good cause, but it’s safe to say I won’t be repeating it next year. Despite working in PI, there was no Magnum about it!
So, Maccy, Christmas is nearly here - have you got your baubles out yet?

Sure have, buddy – although I shall now be keeping an extra-careful eye on the weather forecast!
In football, as in politics, a week can be a long time. With that in mind, the three-week gap that County have had to endure between competitive fixtures seems pretty much like a fully-fledged, continental-style, mid-season break. Thankfully, however, Heaveners were kept up-to-date of what match action there was during this hiatus, courtesy of live-text broadcasts from ‘Radio Macc’ (at Mossley), ‘Fudge FM’ (at EP, against Witton) and ‘Market Harborough Metro’ (at Bishop’s Stortford)!
While County were kicking their heels on last Saturday’s match-less afternoon, I took the short walk from Macc Towers to check out today’s opponents in what turned out to be a cracker of an FA Cup-tie at The Moss Rose. Macclesfield, whilst eventually edging the contest by the odd goal in five, knew not only that they had been in a game – but also that they could count themselves fortunate to have got through without a replay. On that evidence, our own Boys in Blue will surely need to be at their best today.
And talking of County players, there are currently several, once of the SK3 parish, who are plying their trade, and flourishing, down the road in SK10. Joe Connor (now with a veritable mop of hair), Andy Halls (sporting a full, grown-up beard), hot-shot Connor Jennings, Paul Turnbull (the Silkmen’s Captain) and Danny M Rowe all featured at some stage against Brackley, while Matty Mainwaring, who was Cup-tied against Brackley, has recently arrived at The Moss Rose on a month’s loan.
Proof, if proof were needed, that Macclesfield have become the new Brighton!
Enjoy the game.
