CAR, and what did you think of it. Do you still have it? Any funny stories whilst driving it?
Mine was a puke yellow Fiat 128 Sports, with a sun roof, bucket seats, a deep sporty sounding 'roaring' exhaust pipe. It also had cruise control which consisted of a cable/kn*b which you pulled out from the dashboard. Being my first car I wanted a car that looked the part and would be noticeable. This model was produced in Italy and then produced in numbers in Greece for several years in the 80's after they stopped production in Italy.
A few things went wrong shortly after I bought it. A new clutch and a few other things were repaired / replaced.
Before a trip to Europe I took it to a garage in Manchester who repaired the front brakes, replaced the whole exhaust assembly and sorted out the hand brake. They also MOT'd it which it duly passed. Drove to Harwich for the ferry to Hoek of Holland, & was nearly there when the brakes felt a bit spongy so I had to use the handbrake as well to get there 'safely' and in one piece.
The car eventually ended up in a museum there when the garage poked a screwdriver through the cars chassis and bits of rusty metal fell to the ground.
It was a great car to drive, but it was a bit old & didnt really last long...Funnily the friend who sold it to me is no longer a mate....
I'm guessing its still in the museum. Maybe its been restored . who knows.

two tone metallic bronze and brown nissan sunny 1.3. had a control for setting how long the intermittent wipe was but that was about the end of the luxury. a post-factory alarm alerted me when some twocking little sh*t crashed into it, but had driven off by the time i got my shoes on and went out. it didn't deserve a new wing, so after a new headlight assembly on one side, my grandad knocked it out for me as best as he could, filled it and painted it. it was a 'y' reg - but real back in the day y-reg. 1982 maybe?
