I was listening to sky news on freeview and they had a pets technology update... The latest gadget is a thing called pet connect where you can view them online in the house and see what they are up to.. but weirder still is you can talk to them as well through some type of router / microphone thingy plugged in the wall socket...
Don't have a dog yet but it's not ticking the boxes for me....

Giving a new meaning to the term 'grooming your pets'?!

finally; a bit of new tech that's actually very 'jetsons'... would be slightly bizarre going down the street and seeing dozens of people doing the olympic torch relay-shuffle...

I know it's not new tech but these bloody nude photo leaks. I understand we all have a right to privacy but the simple way to prevent it is to just not take them bloody pictures!

Smart deodorant applicator provides a high-tech way to keep B.O. at bay: www.engadget.com/2014/10/16/clickstick-smart-deodorant-dispenser-kickstarter/This goes to show how completely and utterly pointless technology can be sometimes. Anyone with the sense to know what this does and how to go about getting one will already be savvy regarding their personal hygiene and either choose to use deodorant or not. Sweaty gamers take note! Alternatively, anyone wishing to buy someone they know who stinks a deodorant for nearly $30 clearly has more money than f**king sense!

Not 'strictly' new technology but its really great to see the resurgence of vinyl. There was always something special about buying an album and taking it home. Mostly good artwork and checking out the lyrics. Now we just download to a pc or mobile phone and you have nothing to show for it. news.sky.com/story/1354770/vinyl-albums-a-hit-again-with-record-sales Just looking for an 80's B&O music centre on the cheap with the massive speakers. Eldest son picked one up for a song on ebay, now my daughter (18) wants one..
