He has just joined Macc Town for a month - to swell the ever-increasing numbers of ex-County players currently at The Moss Rose still further!

Apparently he's been naff at Hyde, perhaps he's there on recommendation! Good luck to him anyway as a former CH sponsored player and a thoroughly nice guy who once brought me and Morrissey a pint at the end of season gala in 2011

I have a lot of time for Matty, he's a good lad and a good professional who had what I am sure would have been a very good career seriously compromised by that injury. Regardless of what some may think of him, he's got bags of natural talent. However, since that injury he always seemed to have one worried eye on any incoming challenge, so could never fully impose himself on a game, and that is why he hasn't fulfilled his potential so far.
I really hope it works out for him, I wish him all the best wherever he plays.

As it's a County-less weekend, I may stroll down the road from Macc Towers and see how the Mostly-Former Hatters XI fare against Brackley in the Cup. It'll feel a bit like a spying mission, ahead of the 14th, too! Wonder if Ryan will stump up the bus fare for Lordy to get along to SK10?
