Fully agree with the uniformity of almost every single town in England. One of the things that I really like about here is that most of the shops and restaurants have the owners working in them. They care about their customers in a way that has long disappeared from England. I have said England twice as I can’t speak with confidence about the other nations of the U.K. It was why I had hoped to move to France where much the same exists. Major French towns do have the big brand shops but they compete with the small artisanal shops, largely I suspect because rents are low enough to allow the small operations to allow their owners to make a living. Even in Paris, particularly in the areas around Montmartre and the Ile de la Cite there are some fantastic places knocking out all sorts of stuff, frequently made on the premises. This country sold its soul to the highest bidder long a go in exchange for "convenience" or, if you'd rather, a lack of choice and a general decline in quality and on the latter I can speak with some experience as I do the baking at a well-known high street retailer. It's greasy mass-produced crap in a bag. And noooo, I'm not insanely jealous of you...oh no....nothing like that.

In one of my local panaderías (bread shops) you can see them mixing and shaping the dough to be cooked the next day. My current favourite is a pumpkin loaf, which is bright orange and tastes of pumpkin. All the shops sell bread that is stale within two days, or one if it is particularly hot. If you want bread that will last a week go to supermarket and buy their crap!

Alex Scott's punditry on the BBC's coverage of the women's world cup. Her clichéd analyses are becoming irritating, she's trying way too hard and it's difficult to listen to. Turn it in, mate. She does my head in, along with Clare Balding. No issues with Gabby Logan.
Tg we have ITV with Ian Wright.

The blatant Southern bias commentary towards the Oval Invincibles in the Hundred final, Sky Sports really are a sh**bag outfit.
Nasser Hussain being the worst.

Simon f***ing Wilson.
Why is this man being given such an easy ride? Whatever the club is doing with him calling the shots, it's costing them an absolute fortune to achieve it.
Jim had County well-placed with games in hand on the teams above in 4th(?) place when he got sacked, yet the following season Wilson spent multiple times that to help Rusk finish one place (?) higher.
If the rumours are to be believed, we probably wouldn't have gone up as champions had Robert Elstone not been brought in, so if that IS true, then how is he still in that f***ing job?
Got rid of Jim when well-placed.
Brought in a development squad coach to replace him and spent an absolute fortune backing his massive failure.
Still stuck by him the following season until someone must have said this isn't working get it sorted, and Elstone and DC were brought in to save the season. This coincided with Wilson not being heard or seen on County's official channels until promotion was achieved.
What don't people see that I'm seeing? The guy is a f***ing conman, and it's going to end in tears for County fans if he's allowed to continue.

Royal f***ing Mail.
How the actual f*** can an item purchased from an eBay seller in Sutton f***ing Coldfield, and shipping to me in Liverpool, end up in Northern f***ing Ireland Mail Centre? NORTHERN f***ing IRELAND!
Wonder if any of Nick Read's fat f***ing Royal Mail bonus or salary might end up going into my bank by mistake?
No? Thought not.
What the f*** is going on with this f***ing country?

The XL Bully dog breed.
They should be destroyed and banned. I've never understood why people wish to keep dogs like this and I never will.
There's a clown that breeds and sells them near where I live, and one of them got out earlier this year and went straight to a neighbour's front garden where her small dog was, jumped the wall and ripped it to pieces in front of everyone, not even its owner could get it to let go.
The police had to be called, who then took it away but then handed the dog back to him later - which I find absolutely f***ing bizarre.
They need getting rid of.

Agree with everything there Gazza. Think we need to get rid of the owners as well.

agree about certain dog breeds. but it's a sub-set of scumbags that wants to buy them. to me some of the protests about them sound like the american gun lobby - 'yeah in the hands of wackos they might be dangerous, but most of us aren't wackos'. not a great argument against gun control (watched that 11 minutes or whatever it was called about the bloke in the hotel window in las vegas shooting into the festival crowd. he had 24 guns -just threw one down when empty and picked up the next one- killed 60 people and injured 400 with hundreds more injured in the stampede) and i don't think it's a great argument against the control of certain dog breeds either. ultimately, they're going to drug dealers and toxic alpha male scumbags who don't need making any more dangerous.

Turn it in, mate. her brain isn't quick enough for live tv. i know anyone can balls it up but did you see her announcing last year that lenny johnrose had died on 'football focus'? called him johnny lenrose, and f***ed his name up on a further two occasions before getting it right. fabulous tribute that.
