Hard luck, 'Pool. Sounds as if you were up against some old masters there. It was always going to happen against a "manufactured" side. 2 Players come from the Wirral to play for them. We wanted to play at a later date when both teams would have all their first choice players available, but told by the powers that be we had to go ahead this weekend. Always good to have the high moral ground though. They were originally the Man City team but the club told them they couldn't use a sponsor as advertiser in the team name. So they branched out alone. The manager owns Kingsmaid !!!!!

Unlucky, Lennie.
I'm sure it would have been a different story had you been able to get the match put back and play your best side.
As for Kingsmaid, I wouldn't wish them luck, as they seem more than capable of manufacturing their own.

All's fair in love and Walking Football.
We'll stuff them next year when "The Beast" is of age.

Gloucester Tournament (Friendly Test/Trial/Training Event)
England 65s 4 South West Reps A 1 (on the subs bench for this one)
England 65s 3 England Women 50s/60s 0 - a clean sheet on debut !
England 65's 0 England 75s 0 (back on the bench and a determined rear guard action from the old boys)
England 65s 2 South West Reps B (back in nets and another clean sheet to round the day off.
I have had busier days between the sticks but a good pipe opener getting to know a brilliant set of technically proficient players. Always looked like we had an extra player on the the pitch. Really nice bunch of guys as well. Fabulous facilities at Gloucester University Tennis and Rugby centre (Apart from the showers flooding the changing room !).
Nightmare journey back - M5 horrific, so took the back roads and every roundabout near Kidderminster is being dug up and replaced. 5 hours to return home.
Tournament at St George's Park next Sunday. I expect to spend a little more time warming the seating area on the Sir Alf Ramsey Indoor pitch.

Congratulations on your debut, does this classify as a cap?

Afraid not Dudds. Has to be against another country or association.

Inter Generational Competition - Sir Alf Ramsey Pitch at St Georges Park.
England 65s 6 England Ladies 60s 0 England 65s 3 England 70s 0 England 65s 1 England Ladies 0 England 65s 2 England 75s 0
Played 4 Won 4 For 12 Against 0. I managed to play 1 and a half games so still yet to concede in my "international" career. Very little to do as the team played great possession football.
Now we need some tough opposition. But you can only play what's put in front of you
