Much as I love Surf's Up and think that The Boxer is the stand-out track from that album, I'm going to row in with Desperado as top choice. Classic song that is the final encore at Eagles concerts.

Don't forget to share your songs today, if you haven't already.
I'm on holiday next week and macc has kindly agreed to keep CHUMY going.
On Monday, macc will set up the votes for this week and also set up Week 4: 1975 - 1979.
So... young man, there's no need to feel down 😁

Right, then - I will announce the short-list now, as one or two of you have already been in contact with your votes (for which many thanks; they are duly recorded, so no need to re-confirm your choices to me).
Duds also got in touch to plump for No Woman, No Cry as his favourite, so the voting paper for '70-74 in full reads as follows:
Band On the Run - Paul McCartney & Wings
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel
Desperado - The Eagles
Life On Mars? - David Bowie
No Woman, No Cry - Bob Marley & The Wailers
Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield
Please PM me your first and second choices by close of play on Friday (12th), and I shall reveal next weekend the Top Three - including, within that, the next song on our compilation.

Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel
Life On Mars? - David Bowie
No Woman, No Cry - Bob Marley & The Wailers
(2) Our winner for Week 3, and latest addition to the Compilation, is...
Desperado - The Eagles
Thanks to all for sharing their songs and stories from another excellent era!
