Looks like Touray coming good for the run in after some shakey performances. 2 assists today. It's good to get a nerve-free win. Obviously the 3 points are the most important thing but it's good to see the team are not feeling the nerves.

Touray was utterly brilliant today. My Man of the Match - and, in the words of nearby local broadcasters in the press box, "Stockport's real danger man".
Great job, Ibby!

Great to have Knoyle back too, we should now have a solid defence for the run in.
Does anyone know how Macca is doing? It would be good to get updates on his progress.

A devoid of atmosphere game, played in a flat pack on the top of a hill in the middle of nowhere, against a woeful side who had no ideas and on that showing should be plying their trade in the National league north/south. This was an opportunity for County to level of the GD with Mansfield but second half was really boring except for Connors goal. Understand we have a match on Monday but even so. Cuedos to Touray with the two assists. Could be wrong but not being allowed a drum killed the atmosphere. Anyway a welcome 3 points keeps us on course for a promo.

Fully agreed on Ibby, Ceefs. He's played really well in three out of the last four games (Salford, MKD, FGR), and DC, to his credit, is holding his hands up about not having always fielded the player in the position for which he was signed in the first place, so, hopefully, we shall now see many more performances like those of late.
Reminds me a bit of Sam Walker, whose arrival at EP was accompanied by considerable fanfare - but whose first season was decidedly iffy, before he went on to become such a key part of a successful side and a player much loved by many. He's among my top five favourite Hatters, for sure.

I think the atmosphere, though, was as much to do with having an uncovered section for visiting fans that ran the whole length of the pitch - leaving travelling Hatters more spread out than usual, and without a roof to enhance the acoustics.

The thing that was missing for me from this game was a goal for Kyle Wootton which, hopefully, will be rectified on Monday, a brace or hat trick would be a just reward for all his hard work up top with his back to goal and getting kicked all over the park.

Agreed AH. And build his confidence up. He really takes a clattering often ignored by the match officials.
