Fylde should be a great away day! How far away is it from Blackpool, Len?

6-7 miles Fudgie.
Come off the M55 at Junction 3 and head for Warton/Wrea Green via Kirkham.
Birley Arms pub. Through the car park to the ground. All bases covered.
See you there.

All the relevant Play-offs are now done and dusted. We lose Alty, but keep Guiseley. Likely make-up of our League next term (subject to any close-season liquidations, or AGM re-definitions of geography!): Barrow Boston Brackley Bradford PA Chester Chorley Colwyn Bay COUNTYFylde Gainsborough Gloucester Guiseley Harrogate Hednesford Hyde Leamington North Ferriby Oxford C Solihull Stalyvegas Tamworth Worcester Sorry, Maccy, I had to edit this post, I'm sick of seeing us near the bottom!

hmm. there's still talk of an appeal, and also lowestoft being in the north. that would be annoying - although they're clearly further north than the likes of oxford and gloucester, it's a pretty horrendous travel, and outside a couple of distant west country trips, the conference south has it easy in comparison. look at this map for how cushy our shandy drinking cousins have it.

Ah - in that case, I guess that we may end up swapping Oxford (slightly further south than Gloucester) for Lowestoft...
What is the potential 'appeal' about, exile?

the thing about VM's resignation, and oxford having fewer ppg than the third bottom in the south. looks to me from the rules as though VM will be considered a northern relegation - it depends when the resignation happens - but the talk is that there will be an appeal.
re. lowestoft - i hope not. that's a rubbish journey - it's virtually holland. obviously it's about north/south geography, but it would be nice if some account was taken of the overall distances the northern clubs/fans have to travel in comparison to our southern counterparts.

Something that can be said for 'doing' Lowestoft - says he, looking on the bright side - is seeing the UK's most easterly point (which, for me, would only leave Dunnet Head to complete the quartet of land extremities)! Some of our number - Mhh and Sandy spring to mind - who live nearer, or have family connections over, that way may not be complaining, though...
If the appeal goes ahead, and Oxford are relegated, I guess that we shall definitely be getting out our maps for West Holland!

Sorry, Maccy, I had to edit this post, I'm sick of seeing us near the bottom! No worries, gazza. Strangely enough, I had thought about listing us after Colwyn Bay in the first place - but my alphabetical morals got the better of me!
