Having slept, opened my eyes enough to get up, got to work in -2 weather, grabbed my first coffee and finally woken up - I have to say that Macca was MOTM by a mile.
Absolutely outstanding performance and once again taking a whack and running it off.
What a player.

What can I say, we could have buried that early on, instead we lacked the precision and a combination of their defending and the GK's saves put paid to the 3 points. That ref was *****'n *sel*ss. 1 min added time first half - should, have been at least 6 or 7+, and 3 mins for the second half. If we would have scored the GK would have suddenly been able to run a mile in under 4 mins instead of 10 mins. Standout players were Macca and Powell.

I've just seen DC's post-match, and I can't say that I'm too impressed with the way he's singled out one or two players, Powell and Macca in particular.
He states that they went into the game blind, which I assume meant not knowing what to expect from Salford with them also having injuries, then criticises our players for not following the plan - if you don't know what to expect, how can there have been a definitive plan to stick to?
I get that Powell should have done better with his chances, but he's barely been involved this season and needs a run of games. I understand that he's pissed off, so are we, but I think he's way off target with the players that he's having a go at there.
Those two, along with Paddy were - for me, anyway - the plus points of a disappointing night at the office.
