Before anyone says anything..... no it is not a local game for me ! It's 81 miles. I can get to Birmingham quicker. (Just 14 miles by canoe though) Haha, I know the feeling. It's about 63 for me and I live in the same county! It took over two hours to get there as the national park was heaving.

Maccy's match report is bang on the nail (as always) -
'The hosts, without a win at Holker Street in three months.'
They were a non descript, mediocre team there for the taking, so what does that say about us?
3 points dropped, and no excuses for such dross. I don't mind if we lose having put in a good shift but we couldn't even do that.
If we continue to play such lacklustre 'football' we can kiss promotion goodbye.
DC and CH have a week to sort this out and I hope Saturdays team selection reflects yesterdays result.
Onwards and hopefully upwards against Doncaster.
P.S. the highlight of the day was driving through the Lake District.

P.S. the highlight of the day was driving through the Lake District. Yes, it's a really nice run across there, Ceefs. Sensible allocation of dual carriageway sections along the way, too! I think yesterday was a game too far for the same starting 11, especially at a ground where results, for us, have generally been hard to come by. The team performance was undeniably poor, but that doesn't make us a bad team overnight. County still finished on top of the form table for February. If we'd have been offered five wins out of six, and fifth place, at the start of the month, there'd have been no hesitation in taking it - and I feel sure that yesterday's bad afternoon in the office, coupled with the returns of key players from injury, will both provide some impetus for next Saturday, as well as proving a longer-term blessing rather than a curse. Good, too, that we have a full week off before the next match.

Bad day at the office I guess.
