Tanto has looked lively but that's where the positives end for that half's performance! Either we're collectively fatigued or collectively absent-minded tonight - we're off the boil all over the park with poor decisions, first touches and passing. As Sam Byrne said, we're giving it away so much and they have the ability to run through our midfield so Croasdale is a walking red because he'll be forced to do some last ditch work if Collar and Camps can't get out of 1st gear alongside him. Could go any way, this one but hopefully we'll have 5 or 10 minutes of quality at some stage and seal a winner.

Get in, Kyle! Great work from Hussey who then crossed brilliantly for Wootton to get in front of the Crawley keeper to nod home. No JK commentary at the moment, so two reasons to be cheerful!

Just looking a bit wider, something weird going on at Carlisle - first losing to Harrogate who didn;t have a shot on goal and now losing 0-4 to Mansfield, all 4 scored in the first 40 mins.
Last 10 mins at EP, just get through this last bit... fingers crossed.

Wootton rightly named the man of the match.

A little more energy and aggression, exemplified by Hussey in the goal, along with that touch of quality and it's a much-needed 3 points. Certainly not a 'feel good' game in terms of performance but a reminder that we do need the legs and the focus to be right or we can look extremely ordinary. Now we have pace up top, the side will need to be a little more aware of just how stretched a pitch can become - the turnover and how far we were off their midfield was a real problem that better teams will exploit. Anyway, good spirit to dig in and get over the line when it must have been frustrating for them all.

Has Stretton showed anything in his cameo roles so far?

Has Stretton showed anything in his cameo roles so far? He has had precious little time to impress, to be fair, although he certainly showed glimpses at Harrogate of what he can do.

He only had 19 minutes play last night - I think he took a corner.

First half - say no more... second much better, but we lived dangerously. Ground out a win against a side who are much better than their lowly position in this league. There's no way they will be relegated. Sure fatigue played a part but we have a large squad so maybe there should be some more rotation. Well played Tanto, Wootts and Hussey in particular.
Stevenage will be a real test of our promotion credentials.
