Yes - hamstring problems, I think, Sandy.
Swansea were interested in signing Pilks during January, but there was no deal before the transfer-window closed. Perhaps this Summer...?

they mentioned he'd been injured the other week but he played for them then. he's been a bit in and out over the last year. dunno how much of that is injury, and how much is 'not selected'. given how good his crossing is at his best, you'd have thought it would have suited hooper, elmander and van wolfswinkie......even chelsea aren't crying out for that forward line on current form...

Moyes gone now, the panic has finally set in at the theatre of prawn sandwiches.

The million pound question is who will take over.........!
Favourite is Louis van Gaal who is a great manager but secretly I want Roberto Mancini to come in and absolutely destroy Manch£$ter City and then I can take great pleasure in not only City's chances toppling but also in Mancini, who was so cruelly discarded by them, being the man to do it!
The delicious irony of it all would make up for the fact United had reclaimed the title.

Fudge, I can understand how you could want City to get destroyed, and even how you could want Mancini to succeed... but to want Uni**d to succeed? Just. Plain. Wrong.
I hope they get either Carlton Palmer, Steve McLaren, or Darije Kalazic (spelling?).
In all seriousness, a lot of people seem to be suggesting Giggs should get the job, which would be utterly hilarious. I actually hope they win a few games between now and the end of the season and appoint him...

If he does get the job, the first thing he'll do is introduce a 'Bring your brother's wife to work day.'

The betting is very interesting, with Van Gaal being backed off the boards.
He's too short a price now for me, so my 50p is going on Howard Webb at a stunning 9,000/1.
He loves the place.
Well, you never know, stranger things have happened.
