Bit tough on Anstey, having to take on two teams in the next round! Was thinking that myself. Perhaps they will play across the pitch 6 vs 6.

Nice win for our Leicestershire desert wanderers !!
Anstey Nomads 5 Shefford Town and Campton 0
Armeni 2, 28, Wakefield 8, 51, Robinson 47
A bit of a blistering in fact. Shefford well and truly sent back to Bed(fordshire). Anstey celebrated by lifting the FA Cup which was there on display for the afternoon.
The big boys from the National League join the fun in tomorrow's draw.

The big boys from the National League join the fun in tomorrow's draw. They have indeed done so, Lennie - with an absolutely massive draw for our Nomads, at home to Chesterfield!

Anstey's biggest game ever I should think. The Leicestershire club are the lowest ranked team still left in the competition.
The Spireites will visit Cropston Road on Saturday, October 15. The winners of the tie will receive £9,375 in prize money, while the losers get £3,125.
Chesterfield going well in 3rd place in the National League although they did lose 1-2 to Maidenhead on Saturday at home. Present league record is W7 D3 L1 and just 2 points behind Wrexham at the top.
Anstey will have their work cut out, but we wish them good luck. Their bank balance must be quite healthy with all these wins under their belts.
Tshimanga is back playing with 3 goals to his name this season. Chesterfield FC was officially established in 1866, though it would be the third incarnation of that name that turned professional in 1891 and changed its name to Chesterfield Town. Chesterfield remarkably reached the FA Cup semi-finals in 1997 but two consecutive relegations saw the club relegated out of the English Football League at the end of the 2017–18 season.

Other results of interest (or not)
Blyth 1 Wrexham 1 Alty 2 Gateshead 2 Bury 1 York 2 Buxton 2 Hyde 1 Kiddy 2 Fylde 2 Notts Co 2 Coalville 3 !!
We perhaps need to a good cup run to make up for the League 2 doldrums. At we are struggling in the Football League and not in the Ntional League. Now that would be worrying.

So we crawl into League 2 for Round 1 .
The Cobblers are the visitors to the Spireites.
Founded in 1897, the club competed in the Midland League for two seasons, before joining the Southern League in 1901. They were crowned Southern League champions in 1908–09, allowing them to contest the 1909 FA Charity Shield. Admitted into the Football League in 1920, they spent the next 38 years in the Third Division South.
Under Dave Bowen, the club achieved three promotions from the Fourth Division to the First Division within five years. However, Northampton only survived for one season in the top tier of English football after relegation in 1966. Northampton then experienced two further relegations in three years to return to the Fourth Division by 1969 – this set a record in English football of moving from the fourth tier to the first tier and back in only nine years.
Northampton are nicknamed the Cobblers, a reference to the town's historical shoe-making industry, and the team traditionally plays in claret and white kits.
