Happy to be corrected on this, but I am pretty certain that County first adopted the Argentinan look in '79, rather than '78?

We played in White Bukta shirts with blue shorts in 78/79 - my first ever game was that season. We definitely wore that 'Argentina' strip for the 81/82 season, towards the end of which war broke out in the Falklands.

Really liking the Argentina top...or I mean the County away top lol... probably a bit to pricey for me once you factor in exchange rate.VAT. .customs excise and bloody postage.

This may be controversial but I think we should reintroduce red trim to the shirts. The early 90s paint splats aside I think the colours worked really well. Also I would like to see a red away shirt.

One got sold and I believe the other (the red one) was put on display!

Might be wiser to give the American Pickers a call by the sound of it, though, and let them dig it out for you! : D

The sweat was dripping off me and I was only up there 5 minutes so I said to myself I'll wait till the weather is cooler because it could be a half hour job looking for it up there. I did find a load of old County programs a few days ago from the 60s 70s 80s and 90s so that was good.
