I'm not even sure that there was a Sponsors' Man of the Match - although rumours suggest it would have been Madden - but, for me, Cannon was utterly brilliant today. Immaculate composure in midfield, with a penchant for trying his luck from time to time - and, on 54 minutes, it paid off! Really hope that we can sign him up for next season.

ALL OF 'EM
Surely we can't end this sensational campaign, one that finally saw us escape Non-league purgatory by awarding this to just one man?!

Usually I would go for The Team... but I think I'll extend that to include 'Everyone who played a part in turning the ship around'.
They may not have been here for us getting out of the NLN, but the likes of Smalley, Clarke, Montrose and Lloyd and gave some hope that, under JG, something could change. The likes of Walker and Thomas may not have been here for us getting out of the NL, but they had showed us what team players truly looked like.
So, every player that 'got it' and every member of staff who dedicated themselves to the cause, as well as all those volunteers who turned out every week - I vote for you.

In most respects I tend to agree with the purgatory sentiment, losing a midweeker at Vauxhall Motors is for some reason an event that stands out as a marker for how far we had fallen but I'm going to miss the sort of days we had at Needham Market earlier this season, a great club with really friendly staff (or more likely volunteers) who made us feel really welcome. Having said that, you've no idea how much I'm looking forward to the visit to Brunton Park, imagine that! Only 20 miles to go and watch County!!

Cannon , Madden who do you choose? Not forgetting Lordie for turning things around, Phul Jevons etc. My vote goes to the glorious 12th man. Thanks Herm for doing a great job running this and collating the stats.

I'll award this one to The Club then, which hopefully encompasses the overall sentiments expressed.
Collar got an assist and a goal, with Madden (goal) and Cannon (assist) also adding to this tallies.
Congrats to Collar and Madden on topping the tables!
Thanks to everyone who contributed to these threads throughout the season.

League 2 appears to have very few southern clubs, so not really a National League. How refreshing
