(Putting this up early with the prediction of feeling exhausted later!)

Having gazed into the crystal ball I feel that it will be Will Collar!

Lots of strong showings out there tonight and I think a handful deserved a MotM! But I'll go with Croasdale as he just consistently received and moved it on effectively which was a huge part of the game, not to mention how many times he was in the right place to break things up.

Whilst my prediction was as accurate as my lottery prediction on Tuesday I now have to go with Hippolyte as my man of the match. It was a real pleasure to see him cover the ground all over the park.

Hard call, as there were good performances throughout the side.
'Will' (pun intended) plump for Collar, whose return really helped to galvanise us - and, on another day, he could have had a couple of goals to mark it. Along with Croasdale and Hippolyte - mentioned on here by others - as well as Sarce and the also-excellent Cannon, he starred in one heck of a quality midfield last night!
Shout-out, too, for Francis-Angol. A highly-pressurised match for his National League debut, but he looked as if he had been a Hatter all season. (Also gets the Hatter in Macc end-of-season vote for One-footed Player of the Year!)

My vote goes to Collar.

Agreed, Ceefs - and it showed last night how much those red cards for Sarce and Collar had derailed us. Without the sendings-off/suspensions, we would definitely have beaten Grimsby, and possibly/probably not lost against either Yeovil or Boreham Wood - leaving us somewhere between six and eight points clear going into Sunday!

Collar took this one then, which ultimately sealed his place at the top for the 2021/22 season. In the other table, Madden added to his goal tally and Newby to his assist column.
