I saw this posted on YB this morning.
I don't know who made it, but it's a fantastic piece of work. DC could do a lot worse than play this video to the lads just before kick-off on Sunday.

I've got a video I took from the CE of our last goal in the FL somewhere on my PC, but here it is on some BBC footage...

thanks for the grim memories . we had some stinkers that season. the home canings (six games in which we conceded 4 or 5 at home, including macc grabbing 4), grumbling through dismal games like the 5-0 at morecambe, the 4-0 at rotherham for which i got in 20 minutes late and left again before half time when adam le fondre was laughing at us, and the 'we looked better on tuesday night...this is a must win' at hereford. cue sending off and depressing defeat. or, oh...we've got elding back. can he help save us?...cue 1-5 at edgeley against gillingham. hope finally left the building (for the better part of ten years) after greg tansey's rocket against northampton could only salvage a draw in a game we had to win to retain a mathematical chance of staying up. still, mary gibbons took over mid-season, so things would inevitably pick up... oh, and paul simpson scrubbed jamie vardy's name off the whiteboard (or whatever it was), and probably wrote his son's on instead. looks a very different operation now, so probably quite timely to post it gazz.

This forum has missed your County musings, mate, I always enjoy reading your unique take on all things County and indeed football on the whole.

That Northampton match was Sandy Jnr's first ever visit to EP at just eleven months old. I was adamant my son's first taste of County was not going to be in the "poxy conference." I had no idea it was going to get so much worse. He's only ever known non-league football. His first away game was at Gainsborough Trinity. He was a match mascot against North Ferriby, when we had almost as many mascots as there were travelling fans. He's seen what I sincerely hope to be the lowest point County will ever stoop, and I'm so delighted for him that his unwavering loyalty has finally been rewarded. It was his 12th birthday on Sunday, and he stood there with his younger brother (plus three school friends he'd invited to EP for his birthday), and bounced and sang his heart out for ninety minutes. What a gift County gave him. And we bumped into one of his favourite players, MSH, outside the ground. I don't mind admitting that I got pretty emotional at the final whistle.
