It's true, Halifax have absolutely nothing to lose, so we really do need to be on it from the first minute to the last!
Oh, and kick lumps out of Warburton early on - discreetly, of course!

What a difference Sarc and Collar make in the middle…
Best noise I’ve heard in EP all season, non stop singing from start to finish
Brilliant sly dig by the stadium announcer at the end wishing Torquay fans a safe trip home “and those heading back to Wrexham”
Onwards to Sunday for a win in the sunshine!

If those two hadn't been sent off, we'd have been over the line a good few games ago, pj.
I'd have liked a couple more goals tonight, though, as it still seems like we're not ruthless enough up front.

Yep the decision making in front of goal has badly gone to sh*t. Can only put it down to pressure.

An excellent result under the lights and one which could have - but for a couple of outstanding saves and a 1st half goalmouth scramble - run out much more comfortable than it ultimately did.
After 6 games without the midfield 3 on the pitch at the same time (well almost 6 as Sarcevic was on for 35 in the Grimsby game), it was great to see them reunited tonight.
Collar was unlucky not to score - his fine header was sharply saved low to the substitute 'keeper's right - and Sarcevic's strength and drive was invaluable throughout. Croasdale was the unassuming glue of the game, making another outstanding appearance in front of defence which could easily have warranted MotM.
ZFA delivered a lovely cross after 'getting up-to-speed' as the game progressed and, on the opposite side of Palmer, Keane played all the triggers right - sprinting forward into action each time Croasdale received the ball, which led to countless carries on the right and crossing attempts - a very impressive show from him tonight which seemed to impact Newby in the 2nd half, I thought, as he seemed to do more take-ons and driving for the box. Crankshaw did this well in his cameo.
Hippolyte was another one unlucky not to score - in fact, quite how the 'keeper saved his back post effort was beyond me at the time (and still is on reflection).
Madden led the line with constant effort, belying his stature with just how much grief and discomfort he was able to cause their defenders through the sheer workrate.
Although we started strong as usual, tonight we didn't blow ourselves out and the game felt professionally managed - we were much better for it. There's always going to be some sort of moment for an opposition and it came. Thankfully the equaliser did not though - we fully deserved the win.
Edgeley was very happy tonight and I bet that roar was heard for some distance.
Well done DC and the boys!

No-one can say we didn't deserve that. On top throughout, particularly for the first 30 minutes of the second half when Torquay couldn't get the ball over the half-way line. We had a couple scrambled off the line and both their keepers made decent saves and of course, right at the death Torquay hit the bar but it would have been a travesty if they'd got anything out of that. Quite how the ref went 88 minutes without booking one of theirs since they seemed to be taking it in turns on Hippolyte I'll never know but we got there in the end...and breathe....

Nice to see the whole place full (except the away Pop Side). It must be wonderful playing in front of such a crowd.

Sunday is going to be bigger than 'that' Carlisle game, but I'm going to be watching from work, again - I honestly don't know if I should, though. The last time I watched from work we had our arses handed to us on a plate. I'm as superstitious as they come, so I honestly don't know what to do for the best.

It's a great shout, mate, but it really isn't that simple, unfortunately. I didn't really think it would be. I notice that Everton kick off at 16.30 on Sunday. Is there a deal to be done with one of their supporters? Hope you can sort something out.

Is there a deal to be done with one of their supporters? Hope you can sort something out. We have a number of different sections in our department, with some offering better opportunities to strategically place a phone or tablet while you work, and we do have an Evertonian colleague who may swap with me, but I will see what the situation is when I get in work on Sunday. We're all multi-skilled in there and fully trained on everything including the trucks, which are a complete no go for phones for health and safety reasons, so we never know what job we're on until we get into work. It's actually just occurred to me that if you ask for a printed copy of your yearly rota, it usually tells you what your duties are the following week, so I've missed a bloody trick there, not to mention an opportunity to do some advanced dealing with my workmates! Ah, b*ll*cks!
