Surely the best TV theme tune ever is The Raccoons? Closely followed by Airwolf.

Apologies if anyone from here is affected but I'm loving the thought of Brexiteers having problems flying out to a European destination. Apparently, Brits won't demean themselves to do baggage handling and it turns out that having a second language, as many Europeans do, can be quite handy for keeping security queues moving.

And meanwhile all our food lies rotting in fields because our darling brexiteers our too high and mighty to roll their sleeves up and do an honest days work.
The country is buggered. Last one out shut the light off.

And meanwhile all our food lies rotting in fields because our darling brexiteers our too high and mighty to roll their sleeves up and do an honest days work. The country is buggered. Last one out shut the light off. But according to that ineffable Tory troll, the unelected Civil Service functionary Lord Frost, it's not the fault of Brexit per se, it's the fault of remainers who have ceaselessly sought to dilute the purity of the vision. Perhaps we should remind ourselves about Frost. This is an individual who sought to pander to the basest instincts of the readership of the Telegraph, Express and Daily Heil by wearing Union Jack socks to the negotiation table. He made the mistake of conflating what is good for the Tories with what is good for the country. He seemed smitten with the ludicrous idea that this country "held all the cards", that it was not EU politicians who would dictate the direction of the negotiations but the Managing Director of BMW and, so arrogant was he that, like his fellow little Englanders, he assumed that whatever this country wanted this country would get. He therefore assumed that all he needed to do was bring his vaulting Tory sense of entitlement to with him to the negotiations, thrust it under the noses of those petty EU functionaries and they'd fold. In actual fact, what he hadn't noticed in all the childish point scoring was that it was he who was in the process of redefining petty. He had no cards to play, that this country can't simply tear up internationally and legally recognised treaties with impunity completely passed him by. He assumed that because the Tories are able to repeatedly pull the wool over the eyes of a significant enough minority of the electorate in this country to keep returning them power irrespective of the fact that even were they possessed of anything like a vision, they don't have the talent to implement it, he'd be able to repeat the trick with experienced, hard-headed EU negotiators. This country may as well have sent a child to the negotiating table. If recent bye-election results are anything to go by, it would seem that many Tory supporters now believe that a spell in opposition would be good for their party. It's up to the leadership of the respective opposition parties to ensure that they get an opportunity to reflect on their performance since 2010 for a significant period of time. Such is the tribal nature of politicians, I'm not too hopeful tbh.

I rather enjoyed his description of Frost's self-serving ability to shift with the prevailing political wind as being as regular as a bowel movement.

This...
John Williams is a genius, this music still gives me the same goosebumps it gave me as a ten year-old when I went to the cinema to watch it in 1978.
Henry is good, but there'll only ever be one Superman - Christopher Reeve. Continue to rest in peace, big man.

Being able to spend the day in bed with your better half... although Covid being the reason you're both there takes the shine off.
