i like the serendipity of the left leaning humanist european ending up in a traditionally left city, which often looks out to sea rather than inland. liverpool was remain, klopp is remain, the european cup is at anfield again. if it wasn't for the rest of the country, the job would be a good 'un. Absolutely

His Brexit stuff is superb, but pretty much everything I've seen so far has been too, including this.... *warning: explicit language!

the end's particularly good, where he takes a deep breath and goes into his actual 'piece'.

I saw someone say in the comments on one of his videos that, if all news reporters were like him, they'd watch the news religiously - me too, mate!

i like the fact that he appears to be channelling cliff richard there, even though his targets seem to be yuppie hipster kn*bs.
and...i never liked much of the 'big night out'/'shooting stars' stuff, but some of the outliers, like their 'randall and hopkirk', and reeves' 'hebburn' were pretty good.
on 'would i lie to you?' he's the best guest because he's the most creative liar, and has also done some truly ridiculous things, so is able to give a 'he's pulling this out his arse' type story that then flabbergasts everybody by turning out to be true. he's always a great watch on it, and i like the exasperation of a david mitchell in knowing it's impossible to logic your way to a conclusion with mortimer.

This one may seem irrational to some, but Roy Keane.
He was an absolute beast of a midfielder for United and if he was still playing today, I'm sure many fans would love to have him in their XI, but I can't deny that at the same time he was also an absolute tw## for what he did to Haaland.
However, it's not Roy the footballer that I'm talking about here, it's Roy the pundit, coach, manager, speaker or whatever else he does these days - he never pulls his punches and always tells it like it is.
More often than not he's right in what he says and I can see a lot of similarities between him and Brian Clough in the way he says what he thinks.
I watched a YouTube video today that was recorded last September in Ireland, he was being interviewed in front of an audience on stage along with Gary Neville. It was mostly Keane that was speaking, though.
Whether you agree with someone or not, you'd rather always know where you stood with a person and, like him or not, Roy Keane is that kind of guy.
His sparring with Jamie Carragher on sky sports really is worth the subscription fee on its own!

Brian Clough's advice to me before most games was: 'you get it, you pass it to another player in a red shirt'. That's really all I've tried to do at Forest and United — pass and move — and I've made a career out of it. Roy Keane
I remember from the time, I think, that he bleached his hair blonde and Cloughie said he just needs to grow up get married and have kids

I remember that, Duds. Cloughie had to send him home from a pre-season tour around that time too, if I remember correctly?
I remember him playing against us back in 92/93 in the Coca cola cup during their relegation season which, I think, he left for United before the end of.
I went to both legs, but I don't really remember him at the City ground, probably because I was too busy taking part in that endless 'Danny' chant that we kept going until full-time.
I think he played at centre back in the first leg at EP, though, although I'm open to correction on that one.
