Time's up, and our second player is Chris Beaumont.
No one managed full marks this week, but four of you (Lennie, Maccy, Gazz and Hermann) all scored 4, which nudges the latter into a slender lead as we reach the half-way stage of the quiz:
1. Hermann 8 2= Bradninch 7 BBLW 7 Gazz 7 Macc 7 6. Archie 5 7. Epworth 4 8. Ceefer 2
See you all Monday for Week 3.
Cheers
Sandy

Cheers, Sandy!
Chris rarely gets a mention when looking back at the great Danny days, but he thoroughly deserves recognition for his contribution throughout.
A proper County legend and a really nice bloke. He still follows County and goes to games apparently, has anyone seen him?

I saw him at Spennymoor a couple of seasons ago - and think he was at Nuneaton for our title-winning game. Smashing, down-to-earth fella - and great that he has kept his County connection, especially given that he arguably became better known when playing for Chesterfield during their big FA Cup run. Loved him as a Hatter, too, Gazz. He always worked hard, could play almost anywhere (remember him as right-back!), and scored some crackers. Also remember him for his unselfishness; he could have walked in our fifth against West Brom in '93, but instead squared the ball for ex-Baggie 'Big Willow' to do so after the away fans had been giving Williams stick all afternoon. Sweet.

Sweet. That squared ball in the 5-1 mauling absolutely sums Chris up, he wanted the big man to get that goal as much as Willow did, that's how much of a team player Chris was. He was so close to writing himself into the hall of fame too, with that brilliant goal against York in the playoff semi-final and his headed opener in the final at Wembley, but some weapons grade tw## from Harrow put an end to that little opportunity. I honestly believe that Elleray had it in for us for some reason, because on every occasion I've seen him in the middle, he's properly f***ed us over. Horrible, horrible little sh*t
