Get he impression that the "Stockport project" as he puts it is a means to an end for him. He is still involved with the Sleeping Giant set up (he's a Director) and is a Consultant with the City Football Group. We don't get a mention on his linked in page (unless I am missing it). Where do is priorities lie?

Where do is priorities lie? I sometimes wonder if we're now part of the City Football Group plan, Elworth and I don't think I'm alone in this. Also, Wilson strikes me as a bit of a narcissist, so why has he left us out of his Linkedin profile, especially with him being the DoF here? I find that incredibly strange and, as you yourself wonder, where do his priorities lie?

I've just been reading through the forum and a thought just occurred to me. Is anyone else thinking that this season's promotion charge might have now been abandoned and, with no relegation from the division, I am now wondering if Rusk has been handed a free pass for the remainder of the season no matter what and we're now in extended pre-season mode, with the manager being given a big budget in the Summer.
I really hope I'm wrong, because no matter how much money is thrown Rusk's way, I just don't think he'll get us anywhere near promotion. Well, not unless sideways and backwards are the new forward.

Agreed, Gazza. Seems like a season wasted.
Long term plan. Can't afford to go up this year. Tread water, throw some new money at it and reform for next time.
I am just reading a book called "The Fields of Death" about Napoleon's retreat from Moscow. It has a very familiar ring to it. Sacrifice hardened troops and leaders and throw your camp followers under the wagon wheels. Destroy the bridges as you cross over them and finish with an army of only one tenth of what you set out with, calling your withdrawal a great victory for "culture".
Wellington waiting at Waterloo to finish the job. Cue - Abba.

Keighren is such an arse kisser.
Kicks off by pointing out the points haul from the first 9 games of Rusk was "identical to the previous 9" - what are you trying to say, Jon?
Is that you defending the sacking of Jim, or are you being paid to highlight that? What a f***ing crock of brainwashing sh*t, hang your head in shame.
I switched off as soon as I heard that and won't be watching the rest.
What an utter brown nose.

I've just been gauging the YB opinion and Wilson apparently goes on to say that he's not on the forums - yeah right.
Gobshite with a laptop.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 9 league games prior to Woking looked like: W4 D3 L2. This was better than SR's first 9 results, not identical.
The only way for SR's first 9 results (W3 D3 L3) to be identical to the previous 9 games would be to include all competitions. That includes West Ham!
No idea why it's relevant given it was a culture sacking not a results sacking, and maybe it becomes apparent. But that's literally as far as I got, I'm afraid, as I thought "ooh, is that true?" straight off the bat.
Maybe another 30 seconds tomorrow night then!

I don't trust him, H, everything about him is just wrong.
I'd like to think we're in a win/win situation with him here. If he stays and does well then County end up doing well, and if he fails then he gets binned off and we're rid of him, but I don't think it's as black and white as that.
There's just something about him that doesn't sit right with me, but that's not just because of Jim's sacking, there's something else - my gut instinct senses trouble.

Five minutes in and you can see why Gannon had to go! No way he’d put up with spreadsheet tactics from this guy. Looks like Rusk is this guy’s yes man.

Wilson will know about it if we don't get promotion and start badly next season, the fans one hundred percent won't stand for that.

Giving a glowing appraisal on Sky's website of the man he knows he's going to sack, is as much evidence as I need to know that Simon Wilson is not to be trusted.
I trust that's also the case when he said he's not on the forums, because I for one believe that he is. Either that, or sometime he's asked to do so on his behalf.
Good morning, Simon, I don't believe a single word that comes out of your mouth and never will.
As I said weeks ago - you are McKnight 2.0 and nothing will convince me otherwise.

Are these 2 playing footsie under that table?? Surprised they aren't holding hands!! What a load of scripted bulls*t the first couple of minutes is!! That's as far as I got and that's all i'll be watching of that sh*te!
JK is really getting on my t*ts at the moment with his loving for Rusk in the match commentaries, he's probably had a nice pay rise to big Rusk up and never mention Jim or the hard work he and his backroom staff did before hand.
"the way I see it from the commentary point of view is that Simon Rusk likes to set up to play out from the back and he likes to play possession based football"
Do you mean like Jim had us playing all season before you all ganged up on him and sent him packing? If anything i'd say we've played so many long balls in the last 9 games i've lost count!!
I will probably watch the game on Saturday but the volume will be well and truly off and i'll have Soccer Saturday on in the background instead.
