Time's up, and our final player of the quiz is.... Len White!
Just the one Heavener with full marks this week, and that's Macc, closely followed by Archie and Lennie on Tuesday.
All of which means Macc now tops the table by a single point, as we head into those crucial bonus points:
1. Macc 16 2= Archie 15 Bradninch 15 4. Gazz 12 5. BBLW 9 6. Ceefer 6 7. Epworth 4
Just one point separating our current podium, then.
So, what's the link, and the pub our four County players frequented?....

Well, if you look closely at the name of our four players:
Carl BAKER (Baker Street), Martyn CHALK (Chalk Farm), Brett ANGELl (Angel) and Len WHITE (White City and Whitechapel), you'll notice that they all share their surnames with London Underground stations, which means the pub they frequented was ROYAL OAK (on the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines).
Don't feel bad if you didn't get the link this time around, as only two of you did - Macc and Lennie.
Which means, since Macc was first out of the two (and even if he hadn't been, Lennie could not have caught him), he's our final quiz champion of 2020! Congratulations must go to Lennie as well, since his link guess only this week means a last minute climb from 5th to 2nd! Here are the final standings:
1. Macc 26 2. BBLW 18 3= Archie 15 Bradninch 15 5. Gazz 12 6. Ceefer 6 7. Epworth 4
Thanks to you all for playing, not just this quiz but throughout the year. I'll be back in 2021, and in the meantime wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - after all, it can't be much worse than 2020.
Take care, chaps.
Sandy

Cheers Sandy.
That was a bit of a surprise ending with a very "tongue in cheek" guess at the actual link !!!
Well done Macca, always chasing your tailcoats and a great victory.
Thanks again sandy. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Have a safe one.

You could have started this one in January and I'd still be sat here scratching my head over that link, Sandman! Well played, Maccy and Lennie on the link, how the hell you got that is beyond me - obviously it was beyond me, because I didn't bloody guess it! Congrats to Maccy on a fine win! Cheers for another brilliant quiz, Mr Boozle!

Well played Maccy (and Lennie). Thanks for the teaser, Sandy. I thought of London stations fairly early but discarded it because I (erroneously) thought that there might be too many options. Never mind. Onwards and upwards.
A safe Christmas and a quiet New Year to all quizzers.

Probably helped with me hailing from 'darn sarf', and riding the Tube in my youth on a regular basis - but delighted to finish the year with a win! Thanks to Sandy, as ever, and not only for this teaser but also for an excellent set of quizzes throughout the year that kept the grey matter tested.

Brilliant quiz Sandy; not a chance I'd have guessed the link but loved it nonetheless! Congrats to Macc and also Lennie on solving the link. Best wishes to everyone for Christmas and, hopefully a brighter New Year. Keep safe and well.
