Mark Chapman is doing the draw 30/11 at 7pm.
Who do you want?
I think there are only 3 non league sides left.
Us Chorley Marine or Havant & Waterlooville
Sheffield United for me.

Does it make much difference given the current climate, Ceef? There are no gate receipts, so how does this benefit us financially?
I'm not being obtuse here, mate, it's a genuine question.

No fans takes serious gloss off the fact we got to the third round,I dont care who we get as long as it's at home.

I don't know what people think and that's why I am asking the question. Sure, with no fans the gloss is removed but it's not all about financial gains although if we were the highlighted match on TV surely there would be some £'s in it. Some people may want an easy 3rd round where we progress and others may want a Premier League team where we probably won't get through to the 4th round.

I really think you've misunderstood me here, mate. On the one hand, teams like Liverpool are never sending first team squads to play these games, especially given the number of injuries we're seeing so early in the season. On the other hand, there are no gate receipts to share, so I was genuinely asking if it makes a difference if we draw a big club in the next round. Having given it some thought, maybe a plum tie would be televised, so maybe there would be some decent money to be made from that?

Yes, we will not be playing the first team unless we are drawn against a team at our level or below. Personally I don't think that matters - we can only go out to beat the side that is put out and a weakened side gives us a slightly better chance.
Fixtures are over the weekend 9th Jan and I would be surprised if fans were allowed in. We will have to see. £82k is up for grabs.
Marine have done well so may get the nod for screening. Again it's all down to the draw and it's supposed to be about viewing figures. It's about time we got back on the TV proper.

Even with this higher calibre squad, it's been a great achievement to get to the 3rd round. We got our bit of luck (ineligible player) but still had to put Chesterfield and Rochdale away within a few days. We've then gone weeks without playing before yesterday's win. The players and staff thoroughly deserve a PL side for their efforts! Liverpool away with Liverpool having to bring on Salah, Mane and Firmino in the 70th minute sounds good to me.

Not bothered tbh because just to pour buckets of cold water all over it, we're not going to win it and every additional game we play means another league postponement and we've already got a horrific schedule in December and January. I could get ever so slightly disappointed if a cup run jeopardises our chances of promotion due to fixture congestion.

Even the comments here about not really caring who we get shows what a bizarre and fcuked up year it has been. Cant wait for it to be over, hopefully next year will be more optimistic for fans up and down the country.

In other news, we have a swear filter on the forum, so if you want to drop some F bombs etc, feel free and don't worry about having to put the f***ing 'c' before the p**sing 'u', as the swear filter will replace certain letters in the f***ing F bomb and render it relatively f***ing harmless. See what I f***ing mean?

At home against West Ham!! I fancy our chances for a televised game there, Irish. That's a potential upset, right there.
