Time's up, and our final player is Conrad Logan.
Congratulations go to our current table-toppers, Archie and Macc, for collecting five valuable points this week. And, since everyone else scored 3 or 2, this extends their lead at the top:
1= Archie 21 Macc 21 3. BBLW 18 4. Bradninch 16 5. Ceefer 14 6. Gazz 13 7. Epworth 12 8. Hermann 10
So, the title will be coming down to the bonus points, but will it be Archie or Macc who got the link first?....

Firstly, let's reveal what the two links were.
If you look at our five players over the quiz
Ian Ironside Fraser Forster Harry Hardy Neil Edwards Conrad Logan
the first link is relatively obvious - they are all goalkeepers.
I am delighted that so many of you fell into the trap of thinking they would all have double-initials during the first few weeks of the quiz, but by week 4 that no longer worked.
However, for those of you who didn't go on to correctly identify the second link, if you had only continued to focus on the initials of the five goalkeepers
IIFFHHNECL
you might have spotted that they can be re-arranged to spell the surname of our CURRENT goalkeeper, Hinchliffe!
Only four of you correctly guessed the link, and it's no surprise that Archie and Macc were two of them, but congratulations also go to Lennie and Gazz.
So, who out of Archie and Macc (because it was one of them), got to the second link first?....

Our winner is....
ARCHIE!
Yes, Archie narrowly pipped Macc to the second link, giving him the title, and the final standings are:
1. Archie 31 2. Macc 30 3. BBLW 26 4. Gazz 20 5. Bradninch 16 6. Ceefer 14 7. Epworth 12 8. Hermann 10
Congratulations to Archie, and thanks to all of you for taking part. I hope you enjoyed it, and this weekend will be enough of a break to start Quiz 113 on Monday?
Hope to see you all there.
Sandy

Ooh - so close! Jumping the right way on day 1 of week 4 might have got me a share of the winning spoils, but pleased to have been involved right up until the death.
Well played, Archie - and thanks, as ever, to Sandy for another great quiz.

Happy with third place for this very cunning quiz. Didn't get the second part of the link until yesterday but guessed the first part on day two !!
Well played Archie and Macca , deserved top two steps for you.
Very nicely played Sandy. I still think my guess at Ian, Fraser and Harry all being "Outlander" characters was worth a bonus point just for the sheer effort in googling !
Thanks

I dropped lucky with the link on the Tuesday of Week 2. I was thinking initials and the 'FF' just tripped the right synapse.
Thanks to Sandy for another belter and for unlocking the thread to allow me to thank him.

Very well played, Archie - congrats on a fine win and defence of your title, mate!
Well played, everyone else and thanks to the Sandman for another deviously deceptive, yet thoroughly enjoyable quiz!

Brilliantly fiendish quiz, Sandy; loved the 'double link' twist! Thank you. Well played all, especially Archie and Maccy: super sleuths, both. Need to rest my brain cell this weekend as we all go again on Monday!
