Brilliant result - a fabulous goal, and whole load of quality defending, oh and yes Rooney's goal was ok wasnt it?

Thank you, JG and the boys! Every one of you should be incredibly proud of that as I am, and I'm sure all County fans are, tonight!
The concentration levels, the mentality, the 'buy-in' to what we needed to do to combat them, the discipline, the heart and the downright good play on and off the ball.
It was everything I love to see and it didn't matter that we had few kicks of the ball in the 2nd half. If we hadn't have changed in that first half to start to get to grips with their forward players I have no doubt the game would have swung away from us.
They had enough quality to punish us in the more open game but not through the deep block game where only really deep-lying crosses sometimes caused issues and there was a deflected shot which Ben had to tip over. (If any 'keeper had a better game anywhere in the land today I would love to see it).
Absolutely immense.

Sounded like we were hanging on at the end, but a great start and a goal worthy of winning any match.
Who do we fancy in the draw on Monday night then ?

Who do we fancy in the draw on Monday night then ? Someone like Oldham. Would rather play a team struggling in the bottom half of League 2 rather than a team on a high performing well in the NL or the NLN/NLS. Also would be good to play a decent sized club to get a share of a bigger revenue pot from the streaming.

Dignified in defeat, fair play. Agreed, H, he's showed a lot of class in that interview.

The lowest rated team so we get the match televised on the BBC and we can get that big draw in the 3rd round.

Super and a hard earned result. Fantastic team effort which can only bring the players closer together and gelled for further success. Well done all.
To be fair there is a lot of praise for us on the Dale forum.

Who do we fancy in the draw on Monday night then ? Without doubt Oldham!! That's where I was dragged up and would love to rip into my dad and 2 bothers who are all Latics fans!! The team I would like to avoid would be Portsmouth away!

According to the BBC website we're number 9 in the draw tonight.

And we have a home tie - against Yeovil. Not a bad draw. At least we are at home and it should be winnable (albeit we will have to play well).

I'll take that!
Don't worry about Matty, just give Jordan Keane the nod, I'm sure he'll keep him quiet!
