Buckle up, chaps, as we are off on another treasure hunt!
Starting this morning, I shall be leaving EP, and travelling around the country for the next SEVEN weeks, stopping off at a different football ground each Friday. All you need to do is follow me to each checkpoint and then the final ground at the end of Week 7.
On the way, I will be giving you clues to my destination at the end of the week, one clue per day. Those clues will take the same format each week:
Monday – The (nearest) compass direction we are heading (starting from EP, then from each ground thereafter), e.g N, NE, E, SE etc. Tuesday – Which league the team will play in NEXT season (2020/2021). Wednesday – The capacity of the stadium in increments of 5,000 (i.e. 0-5,000, 5,001–10,000 etc) Thursday – A picture of the stadium Friday – The club’s nickname
As usual, guess that week’s destination on the Monday and you score 5 points, 4 on Tuesday and so on.
Then, once all seven clubs have been identified, their postal codes can be re-arranged to spell a former County player. The first person to guess that player bags themselves 10 bonus points, then 9, and so on.
To avoid any confusion/concern during the current pandemic, we will remain in England and will always be travelling by car. Different cars will have to be used by you all to enable social distancing, and as it’s a race, you don’t want to be at the back!
Better get going!

Time's up
Welcome to Hillsborough, the home of Sheffield Wednesday!
An astonishing early guess from our reigning champ, Bradninch, means he takes an early lead in the quiz:
1. Bradninch 5 2. Epworth 4 3= Archie 3 BBLW 3 Ceefer 3 Gazz 3 Macc 3
Still a long way to go, and plenty of points up for grabs. Enjoy your weekend in Sheffield, gents.

Brilliantly done, Bradders!
I'm more than happy to be sharing joint third with our two quiz heavyweights, Archie and Maccy, but I doubt it'll last!
Cheers, Sandy.

Well done Brads.
I zigged when I should have zagged on Monday and went West Yorkshire walkabouts on Tuesday.
Ah, well, all to play for.
