Though it's safe to say the club did overstate the attendance didn't look even close to that! Maccy said that too, fudgie. What do you think was the more realistic attendance, matey?

Yes, I reckoned the true attendance to be of that order, too, Fudgie.
As for the paper petitions, I have to say that they simply didn't seem to have a very prominent presence around EP last Saturday, and that might also explain the relatively low number of signatories on the day. I had already 'signed' online, but the petitioners were not to know that, of course, and I was not approached at any time about doing so on my well-trodden path from The Oak!

Believe there were 2 people collecting signatures around castle street so 161 wasn't that bad Hope Gavin Browne is on board to publicise the petition handover and name the silent ones so the North West are aware of who is involved.

Fudge, there were (ahem) 2,700 people at the game. Now either the club *made a mistake* regarding the attendance, or we have over 1,000 supporters who couldn't two sh**s what happens to us in the future. Which is it? it's the same virtually everywhere though gazz. not saying that's a good thing of course. you have a small 'active' group, then an 'occasionally active' group that can be called on to help, then a 'broadly concerned' group who will get involved with something like this. after that you're into the unaware and the aware but complacent - the latter group scared to rock a boat that has already sunk. 2000 plus is very good, and it shows a significant number who are bothered, and who could hit the club in the pocket if they chose to. there is of course, a further division here - people who will stay away on a point of protest at how poorly the club is being run, and people who will agree with a protest about how poorly the club is being run, but still want to watch the team. the poll has united those groups under a set of objectives, and that's pretty pleasing.

2,000 is good, but 161 match day signatures is absolutely shite. You're absolutely right though, mate, apathy is everywhere at clubs like ours. The irony is though that if I didn't complain about those that don't sign it, that makes me just as bad!

it is shite, but avoiding 'duplicates' of those who had already signed online and only a couple of signature collectors half explains it. the other half of the explanation is the apathy, like you say.

Amazing artwork. For some odd reason it made me think back to blue Peter Nd the models they used to make. And the immortal saying here's one I made earlier.

Absolutely no egg boxes were endangered during the making of this project, but there were one or two yoghurt cartons and pieces of sticky backed plastic that had to be sacrificed!
