Someone needs to tell them that Little Willow was a left back, though!
How about we start our own on here for those (like me) who don't have Twitter?
Paul Jones was in the most successful team, but Neil Edwards would get my vote for goalkeeper, as he was superb over a long period for us - an incredible 'keeper for an absolute steal at 10k.
Here's the final XI as decided by those that voted:

Good idea, Gazz-man. And agree with you about Neil Edwards, too.
As for my outfield players of choice - and assuming we can include players whom we were too young to see in action... or missed, due to being unborn!...
Neil Edwards
Sean Connelly, Mike Flynn, Bill Williams, Paul R Williams
Chris Marsden, Luis Cavaco
Jack Connor, Kevin Francis, Alf Lythgoe

Alan Ogley for me.
Had big boots to fill when Ken Mulhearn went the other way to City. He was a mighty midget.
Although I do think Paul ones was brilliant as well. Made the step up to the Premier League with ease.
We have been blessed with some good number Ones at County. We have had to be given the state of some of the defending we have endured.

Neil Edwards Sean Connelly, Mike Flynn, Bill Williams, Paul R Williams Chris Marsden, Luis Cavaco Jack Connor, Kevin Francis, Alf Lythgoe I can't argue with much of that, Maccy. Little Willow might raise some eyebrows among Toddy's supporters, but anyone who saw him pre-leg break will back you up on that. Toddy was brilliant, but 'Ritchie' had that little bit extra (no pun intended) for me too and was destined to go a lot higher up the League until that injury at Carlisle. The only changes I'd make to your XI to give me my XI would be to swap Alf Lythgoe with Mick Quinn, as I think Kev and Quinny would have been an incredible 'little and large' partnership. Preecey was as good a one on one finisher as I've seen at County, but he just just misses out because, well, Quinn was an incredible goalscorer, nuff said. Then I'd give Tom Bennett the nod as a third midfielder, as starting the game with ten men would leave us at a serious disadvantage!

I was one of the 30-odd Hatters at Carlisle the night when Little Willow broke his leg. Awful to see, and he was never the same player again afterwards.
I remember that a top-flight club had been poised to sign him at the time. Was it Chelsea?
Good shout on Quinny, matey. He would be on my bench to pep things up after the break!

I remember that a top-flight club had been poised to sign him at the time. Was it Chelsea? Wasn't that a 4-0 defeat in the Autoglass round robin? Still making that final was the stuff of dreams! Not sure who was after him, Maccy, but I did hear a rumour that West Brom tried to sign him once!

Yes, a pretty dreadful 4-0 it was as well. Ironically, we went back up to Carlisle in the knockout stages and won there without much fuss. That West Brom 'wrong Paul Williams' tale will never cease to raise a smile!

If you count players I've never seen play I suppose one would have to include Jack Connor for a remarkable goalscoring record but confining it to those I did see play I'd consider anyone who was good enough to get into Dave Jones squad and that would include Mick Quinn, not the fastest but big, strong and very aggressive in the penalty area, Bill Williams who was an elegant and unflappable centre half (who was also part-time if memory serves) and possible Terry Park who could be a bit hit and miss but that may have been down to the fact that he played for a poor side.

Bill Williams who was an elegant and unflappable centre half (who was also part-time if memory serves) Indeed he was, mate. Unless I'm mistaken, he had a painting and decorating business away from County! "You'll never beat Bill Williams!"

Neil Cutler squeaks that contest for me. Over 6 foot tall but I seem to remember his party piece was jumping over the ball and generally getting out of its way.
