DONG.
And with that, another quiz draws to a close.
Before we get to the all-important link, bonus points and prize giving, let's get Week 6 concluded, shall we?
This week's player is Richard O'Donnell and, as might be expected at the tail end of one of my quizzes, a few of you scored full marks this week - Lennie, Archie, Maccy and Bradders.
Which means, the table now looks like this:
1= Archie 28 Bradninch 28 3. Maccy 26 4. BBLW 19 5. Eppers 16 6. Gazz 15 7. Hermann 13 8. Market Harborough 7 9. Ceefer 6.
As we all know, however, the link and bonus points can change everything, particularly with it being so tight at the top....

If we take the initials of our six players:
SN, AH, TR, EN, IO, and RO
they can be re-arranged to spell HEATON NORRIS!
And, while it was subtle, I did include a hidden clue to the link in the opening of the quiz, as I referred to 'first' and 'name' - extremely subtle, but it was there!
I can now reveal that the Heaveners to correctly guess the link were (in no particular order):
Lennie, Archie, Gazz, Maccy and Bradninch.
If Archie or Bradninch were the first, they will win. But were either of them first?

One of them was.... Archie!
Yes, sadly for Bradninch, he had no chance of catching Archie, on account of the fact he successfully guessed my link on day 1, for the full 10 points!
Well played, Archie, for the win, and congrats to Bradninch and Maccy for pushing him to the wire. Here's the final table:
1. Archie 38 2. Bradninch 36 3. Maccy 35 4. BBLW 26 5. Gazz 21 6. Eppers 16 7. Hermann 13 8. Market Harborough 7 9. Ceefer 6
Thanks, everyone, for taking part. I'm afraid I haven't had chance recently to write the next quiz, so there will be a short break for a week or two.

Congrats, Archie. Brilliant; how did you get the link so quickly?; thought I'd cracked it, but I'm not in your league!!
Well done Maccy, too; at least we both pushed you all the way. And many thanks to Sandy - brilliant quiz, as ever! Need to give the brain a rest until the next quiz..........

Jesus Christ, Archie, are you a bleeding Android?! Seriously, though, an absolutely incredible effort and a stunning win - many congrats, mate! Well played, Bradders, you were so, so close, matey - it took something special to stop you! Cheers to Sandy for another amazing quiz!

Thanks guys. A bit of a lucky guess based on Sandy saying that the link was 'something' rather than 'someone'.
Thanks to Sandy for another tester and for allowing me to concentrate on Cheltenham next week.
