Unfortunately I couldn't get to the game today so listened in to commentary. The guys generally do a good job but I beg to differ on one point today. When Wrexham broke away to score Chris Ridgeway really laid into Dan Cowan for a horrendous error losing the ball, stating it will cause him to lose sleep over it. I was looking forward to seeing this catastrophe on the Vanarama highlights so as to reinforce the right footed/left back argument. Having seen the goal, I can't believe how scathingly unfair he was!! Cowan appeared to lose the ball midway inside Wrexhams half and when they broke there were still 4 SC players - Palmer,Keane, Arthur and Minihan plus Hinchcliffe defending. Hinchcliffe had a rush of blood which, in my opinion gave Wrexham the goal. Agreed, Cowan did lose the ball but where was the cover? I really feel that we need a good left footed defensive minded left back, who can get forward. Some forget that Duxbury was rather poor at defending at times but compensated with his forward play. Not many available out there, methinks. Jackson I feel is in the same mould as Duxbury. In the meantime, how about we get behind Cowan and support him. He's obviously under more scrutiny, playing out of position but highlighting every error isn't doing him any favours. FWIW, I think he's doing very well, given the circumstances.

Definitely agree with you on that one. Cowan has done well so far this season, particularly since he's playing out of position and to blame the goal on him after losing the ball in the Wrexham half is ott to say the least. Not sure what Hinchliffe was up to and his reaction after the goal suggested he knew he was at fault.

Not seen the goal or heard the radio reaction so I won't comment on it, forza. But...
The performances I've seen from him this season have been strong even if he had played half his 100 appearances before as a LB... which, of course, he hasn't.
Ultimately a player like him has great value within a team and a squad. Even if he made a bad error (and not suggesting he did), it wouldn't change that fact.

Agree - to blame Cowan is ridiculous. The defence didn't deal with it. Commentators need to be realistic.
