Might well be the only thing they will win this season? With Demechelis in the side, most probably.

Mixed views on the result.
You don't have to be a County fan for long before the 'always support the underdog' mentality takes hold! I really wanted Sunderland to win.
However, my boss is a Man C*ty season ticket holder and he was at the game. C*ty winning has put him in a good mood today, so I'm happy.
I also have mixed views on my boss's supporting of C*ty. To be fair to him he has supported them since the 60's and he was born and brought up near Maine Road. However, his father was a County fan!
(Incidentally, my boss tells me that his father attended regularly all his life until Carlton Palmer became manager. He saw them once and then refused to attend another game until he left, such was his disgust! Sadly my boss's father died before that happened.)

It's not so much the underdog thing for me, it's the fact that City and their fans are d**ks

My Mackem mate reported a little issue in the Man City end.
Apparently a sizable group didn't enjoy 20% of their section celebrating the Sunderland goal !!
Knives and bottles flying - how do they miss these things on the entry search. Mrs Len and I have to declare our coffee thermos every week at Bloomfield Rd. (I reckon I could do some serious damage with a full vaccuum on a high trejectory).
Seriously though, major problems (again) with ticket allocations and thuggery. Why do they bother employing "security staff". They only turn up to collect a wage packet and don't give a monkeys about the average fan enjoying their day out. Most can't speak english either.

are the tickets sold through the clubs? or can you get them on ticketmaster or wherever like for some of the play off finals? if it's the latter, no call centre operative is likely to give two sh**s that they're selling tickets in the city end to somebody with a mackem accent and a chester-le-street address... starts to matter if you get leathered though...

He did pay £500 for the pair through a mate in Sunderland (with some very dodgy contacts).
You pays ya money and takes ya choice ..............

Remember the last home game in the 98/99 season when Sunderland were celebrating promotion? Their supporters were everywhere and some in the Cheadle End were beaten up.
