Been away for a few days and noticed that Tranmere v Bury is postponed to Tuesday. I'm proposing to use that result to prolong the tension a little.

Without going into too much detail, this is boiling up into a real upset with our two leaders both scoring a blank so far and in danger of losing out entirely as Hermann Jnr moves into a narrow lead. I'm away from Tuesday until Friday so there will be a slight delay in announcing the final result but, if anyone feels the need to try and work it out for themselves, the tie-break was 31.

I can do the totting up and publish the results after Tuesday night, if you like, archie?

Or if it’s too much trouble, gents, we could just stop at Week 3...

I can do the totting up and publish the results after Tuesday night, if you like, archie? Cheers Maccy. On balance it makes sense so I'll put up the way I have it for now to make the final totting up easier. 12 Hermann Jnr (3) (+2) 11 Eppy (0) (-3) 10 Archie (3) (+1) * 10 Ceefer (3) (-1) * 10 MarketH (2) (+2) 10 Dudders (2) (+3) 10 Gazz (0) (-5) 9 Macc (2) ( ) 9 Irish (2) (-4) 9 Countyfan (1) (+10) 8 Hermann (1) (-1) 8 Lennie (2) (-2) 8 Sandy (-) (-31) 7 Macc Jnr (1) (-3) 7 Bradders (2) (-4) 7 Mrs Macc (0) (-5) 6 Sandy Jnr (-) (-31) * Only arranged alphabetically at intermediate stage. Usual disclaimers apply!

Well, the pitch dried out at Prenton Park for Tranmere and Bury to slug it out for a delayed share of the spoils - but only four predictors went for the draw, leaving the final table looking like this: 12 Hermann Jnr (3) (+2) 12 Eppy (1) (-3) 10 Archie (3) (+1)* ) *tied 10 Ceefer (3) (-1)* ) 10 MarketH (2) (+2) 10 Dudders (2) (+3) 10 Gazz (0) (-5) 10 Countyfan (2) (+10) 9 Macc (2) ( ) 9 Hermann (2) (-1) 9 Irish (2) (-4) 9 Countyfan (1) (+10) 8 Hermann (1) (-1) 8 Lennie (2) (-2) 8 Mrs Macc (1) (-5) 8 Sandy (-) (-31) 7 Macc Jnr (1) (-3) 7 Bradders (2) (-4) 6 Sandy Jnr (-) (-31) Eppers was one of the quartet to guess correctly, and consequently drew level at the top on points - only to be kept at bay, courtesy of a one tie-break goal difference, by H Junior. Well played, young man! The first set of May teasers is now out there for you, so get predicting!

Thanks for doing that, Maccy. Well played young H and Eppy.
Happy to report that my leave of absence was enhanced by my* horse, Kemboy, winning the Punchestown Gold Cup on Wednesday. You may have caught the headline that his jockey, Ruby Walsh, retired straight after the race after 20 years as one of the top jockeys in Ireland and the UK.
* well, 2.5% of him is mine.
