Stockport's Nathan Aspinall goes through to the quarter finals of the PDC World Darts Championships after beating South Africa's Devon Petersen.
From two sets down and 1 leg away from going three sets down, he fought back to win 4-3 - an absolutely fantastic performance.

Nathan Aspinall was blown off the stage in the first two sets by Michael Smith, only to fight back in the next two to level the first semi-final at 2-2 - fantastic display of guts from the Stockport lad when it looked like a whitewash could have been on the cards!

Fought bravely, but ended up losing 6-3 to Smith.
Fantastic effort to get to the semi-finals.
In other news, is there anything more p***-boiling than having to listen Wayne 'empty cabinet' Mardle and Rod Studd commentating on Michael Fat Gurning? If I hear them say "the green machine" one more f***ing time I'm going to kick the telly in.

Apologies for the "p***" swearage that seemed to have fooled our filter in my previous post - I have now edited the offending word and updated the filter. Testing.... p**s-boiling Ah, all is well.

I've just been browsing through YouTube and just had to watch this again:
Controversial? Nah - it's just another example of what sets him apart from everyone else that ever picked up a cue.
The title 'Genius' is bandied about far too often these days, with many referring to individuals who just don't deserve it, but not so with Ronnie - what an incredible talent.
He's the only reason I'll ever sit through a frame of Snooker these days, Lord knows what the game's going to be like without him once he finally retires for good.

This is a f***ing FARCE... From BBC sport: "Gary Anderson has withdrawn from the 2019 Premier League with a back injury. The two-time winner has been receiving treatment since exiting the PDC World Championship in December. Anderson, 48, was due to play Austria's Mensur Suljovic on the tournament's opening night in Newcastle on Thursday. Chris Dobey will now replace Anderson at the first event, with eight more players, including BDO world champion Glen Durrant, taking his spot over the following eight weeks."What an absolute joke. So if the players replacing Gary manage to win that competition between them, whose name goes on it? That place should have gone to the next best player in the top 16, but no - Hearn is turning the PDC into a travelling circus.

A notorious, sh*tty red-top rag claimed yesterday that Robert Kubica returning from his Rally crash injury 8 years ago to drive for the Williams F1 team this season will be 'the greatest comeback in F1 history".
Erm, Niki Lauda might have something to say about that, given the fact that he was back within TWO races (six weeks) after nearly burning to death at the Nurburgring in August 1976. That's not in any way dismissing Kubica's horrific injury out of hand, but modern medicine really is much more advanced now than it was back in Lauda's day - the media these days really does talk utter sh*te.
Robert Kubica's comeback is astonishing, but Niki Lauda's was miraculous - the guy was given his last rites ffs.

agreed. watch the documentaries or 'rush' and rethink. Absolutely, mate. 'Rush' is an absolutely superb piece of work, most definitely one of Ron Howard's finest.
